I love it personally although this season has been a big disappointment. Saying that the series finale looks like it's going to be good and apparently 'change the face of Dr Who forever' according to Moffat.

Also the 50th anniversary special should be great with Tennant coming back

I've always watched it, despite some of the stories being total rubbish. The choice of cast throughout the past few seasons has been really good though: Eccleston, Tennant and Smith have all brought something different to the fanchise.

I have to agree with you on this season though, I'm only 3 episodes in and it has been awful. She's cute, but no where near as good as Karren Gillan
I'm looking forward to the aparent unveiling of the Doctor's real name though!

I feel like his weird scatter brain act suits the character of the doctor best. Not a massive fan of him though either weirdly but I'd say he's the best at playing what the character should be, even if that is annoying.

Also, Skalps If it isn't that then they're missed a massive chance.

Not sure if it's Matt Smith being bad or just bad scripts, the scatter brain Doctor is not as bad as some really poor storylines recently.

I really like Matt Smith. He takes the show back to it being about The Doctor, whereas under Tennant I always felt like it was just David Tennant boosting his own ego and his Doctor was far too full of himself.

I think where Smith has struggled is that whilst Moffat has wrote some of the strongest unique standalone stories for Doctor Who (Blink, Girl in the Fireplace etc.) he isn't really an effective showrunner. His first two series were really arc heavy, which I enjoyed, but this one has just been 12 standalone episodes with only a slight arc to connect it, so the show has suffered in that respect. Plus, Clara is nowhere near as effective a companion as Amy and Rory were

Christopher Ecclestons season was good, especially the finale, Tennants was also decent aswell but season 3 onwards hasn't been that good for me anyway.

Catching up with this after watching an episode here and there over the last few years. Finished the second season before.

Rose is such a f***ing moron. I couldn't believe the stupidity of the character. He's 900 f***ing years old, of course you're not going to be the only accomplice you stupid b****!

Some great episodes though. Thought The Impossible Planet/Satan's Pit plot was brilliant
