Better Call Saul
So a spin off from Breaking Bad is in production with Saul, obviously, and Mike as the main characters, and the likes of Aaron Paul have said they're willing to do cameos.
Anyone else excited?

Not a fan of spin offs.

Kill it. Don't let anything have the chance of ruining it.

I have high hopes... I'm going to be disappointed.Southern Mag wrote: Kill it. Don't let anything have the chance of ruining it.
Re: Better call Saul - Breaking Bad spin off.
Started last night. Lot of BB references in it, was fairly entertaining, but I can't see a show involving just a lawyer being anywhere near the standard and excitement of BB.
Re: Better call Saul - Breaking Bad spin off.
I thought it was good. I enjoyed the scene where Chuck told Saul not to fly on the McGill coattails for success which was clearly talking about the show itself and Breaking Bad.
It was slow burning but I think it has potential. Also the next episode airs in the US tonight so no week-long wait yet

Re: Better Call Saul
could definitely turn into a solid, little series. Obviously not gonna come close to BB but gonna keep watching for now!

The first two episodes have been quite enjoyable. Feels good to have another series to watch

I dunno
Re: Better Call Saul
I'm enjoying it but after last week's episode can't help feeling they've dropped a bollock by not making the spin off about Mike.
Re: Better Call Saul
Just wait for the next spin-off, a cop drama in the style of Homicide: Life on the Street, all about Mike.

Re: Better Call Saul
I think Mike is a bit of a cult favourite with a lot of fans, but it probably would have been quite difficult to market and really hype up. With Saul, the material and enterntainment value is there for all to see.Heisen wrote:I'm enjoying it but after last week's episode can't help feeling they've dropped a bollock by not making the spin off about Mike.
Having said that, that was my favourite episode so far.

I'm annoyed at myself for believing he was actually smashed, talking jibberish and let his guard down for once. That showed me

Did anybody else gradually feel a bit underwhelmed by this series as it's gone on? Season is over now, but a lot of the original promise died down after a while I think

I was thinking the complete opposite. Didn't really love the first half of the season but I think they've nailed every episode since the Mike one.Southern fairy wrote: Did anybody else gradually feel a bit underwhelmed by this series as it's gone on?
