Quite liked the mystery as a whole, with the mayfly taking on the identities of people who've recently died to use women close to the soldier. Overall though it was another disappointing episode, the mysteries seem to be added as a token gesture to the books, in what's otherwise become a self-indulgent sitcom/romcom.

You'd have to wear your belt bloody tight not to feel getting stabbed . Even if you didn't feel it go in or be pulled out, you'd surely wonder why a bloke's just punched you in the back for no reason. I don't see how the belt would act as a bandage either because it's got a hole directly above the wound where the blade's gone through the clothing. To stop it bleeding you'd have to leave the blade in, that would be more preferable too because it would look like suicide rather than murder.

Yeah it was definitely taken out because there was no murder weapon at the scene. If it had been left in it would've pinned the guy's clothing on and he'd have noticed it before he removed it.

Steven Moffat wrote:"It is not a detective show. It is a show about a detective … It is a show that celebrates a clever man. So we make the show look complex."

The BBC really have managed to ruin one of the best things they've done in years. Such a shame.

Perhaps she wanted something out of who she was there to shoot? Or it's all part of the blackmail.

Far better episode.

Some of it was predictable, of course, but handled very well. Probably the first time the visualisations of the 'mind palace' have been done to my liking. Yeah it got a bit slow and cheesy at times, but it probably wouldn't have the same impact with the fast pace throughout.
Moriarty , will be interesting to see how they revive him, since they're implying that it'll be the same actor again (which is good, he's a good Moriarty) rather than going with the suggestions that it wasn't the real him in earlier seasons.

best of the three, but that isnt saying a whole lot

That was so saccharine and awful. The whole Mary thing was massively telegraphed and it all just dragged.
Moriarty though No idea how they'll bring him back but surely they can't f*** up a show when he's in it!

I don't know why but whenever I look at Cumberbatch as Sherlock i'm reminded of Iron Mike.

Re: Sherlock (BBC)
I liked the other two episodes but that was silly. They always seem to NEED. Some mushy Watson and Sherlock scenes. The villa was daft all the mind palace stuff was ludicrous
