The new Top Gear team are: Rory Reid, Sabine Schmitz, Matt LeBlanc, Chris Evans, Chris Harris, Eddie Jordan and The Stig

This is just going to suck.

There's way too many of them. Way too many , I can only think this is to cover for Chris Evans being s*** at driving and not always being available to record segments because he wants to continue his radio show.

Well I think it makes sense to change the format, otherwise it would just be a crappy version of the old version. But 6 presenters is rather a lot. <erk> Looking forward to see how it's going to work... or not as the case may be.

Yeah , the format won't be the same but 6 presenters just seems like overkill. I am guessing the structure of the show will be completely different, maybe no studio segments this time? I'll definitely be tuning in to see what it's like and when they announced Le Blanc I was quite impressed as I think he'll be a good addition but I can't get my head around how they are going to fit 6 presenters into one show. <scratch>

I'd assume 1/2 will be in specialist roles and there'll be three who, for example, do the news segment. It won't be the same and people will complain, but it may be good in its own (different) right.

TBH was a big top gear fan but it was getting stale to me, sometimes feel like the 3 were forcing it and the set pieces got overly contrived

I also watched some of Rory Reid's stuff of YouTube and he just seems to be trying really hard, not even comparing him to the old guard but it was just a bit meh.

Chris Harris was about as exciting as a Dacia Duster as well.

I watched a bit of Chris Harris talking about the Ferrari 488 and his presenting style was about as enthusiastic as a person test driving a blender.

"It's a struggle to talk" on one bit as he was being test driven around in it. Bodes well!

I reckon it'll go a little something like this:

Welcome to TF its Top Gear and I’m your host Chris Evans. Tonight we’ll have my special guest... Noel Gallagher! Everybody… We’ve got Noel Gallagher! Here. Noel Gallagher playing his new song and driving our reasonably priced car…. AT THE SAME TIME! We’ll also look at the new BMW 5 series as I interview Paul Weller! Paul Weller people. Right here! In a BMW 5 series. Me. Paul Weller and a BMW. Only on TF its Top Gear.

Now, over to my mate and our producer Will for a stupid prank that we’ll find hilarious!

*Will slides into the studio covered in grease dressed as a crab*

Hurrah!! Hurrah!! This is so funny. I am so funny!

Noel Gallagher people! Paul Weller people!
f***ing WORSHIP MY GINGER PUBES YOU C***S!!!

Heard of Chris Evans, Matt LeBlanc and the Stig but the rest could be people dragged from the street for all I know. Wasn't really big on Top Gear beforehand besides some of the specials, probably won't be watching this.

The girl's a racing driver who was on the show before a couple times. Drove a van around the Nurburgring. Absolutely no idea who Rory Reid and Chris Harris are.

One of them is an absolute try hard and the other is a boring cronut from what we've seen so far. <neg>

It'll be interesting to see what the new format will be like. I'm guessing they'll try and make it more of a factual car show rather than the casual entertainment show it previously was.

I can't see it being as popular as Clarkson, Hammond and Mays new show. I think a lot of people watched Top Gear before this for the entertainment and the chemistry between those three. The audience was much larger than just those interested in cars whereas I get the impression this new Top Gear will be more so aimed at car enthusiasts.

And Hammond, May and Clarkson weren't? Schmidt and the Stig are the only two in either version of the show who can actually handle a car.

I'm not expecting a great deal but I'll give the first few episodes a watch, for the first time in about five years. I'm guessing Jordan will present a small motorsport news segment or something. A couple of the others will probably just have smaller roles rather than being full on presenters, maybe have Schmidt doing road tests from the Nurburgring or something. Then maybe they'll only get the six of them together for big features such as road trips or competitions. They wouldn't have the six of them sat around on sofas discussing motoring news, it would be a disaster.

Only really enjoyed the challenges before, can't see how that happens with 6 of them.

I love it, but I think it's peaked in recent series as it's not as good as it used to be.

I highly doubt they will have 6 presenters on the screen at once <wenger>

A TV presenters Royal Rumble? I'd watch that.
