Simple, this one. Should it go ahead, or not?

No. Whether you think of it as a human rights issue or not, it will endanger innocent team personnel and provide a platform either for the regime to legitimise itself or for the protestors to cause trouble.

The Human Rights thing isn't the issue, they're racing in China which has an appalling human rights record.

Like Tomtom94 says, it gives the regime a chance to take the world stage and / or for protestors to cause trouble.

No.

1. It gives the impression that all is well in the Kingdom of Bahrain when it's not.
2. It really is a rubbish race and very little ever happens.
3. I'd like to reiterate point 2. Bernie, it sucks.

Having been to Bahrain, I'd have to say the food. It was rancid.

It's going ahead. <disgrace>

Well, allegedly there are still rumours of an eleventh-hour cancellation. Something to do with the fact that there was a bomb attack on the circuit recently.

Not sure there will be an 11th hour cancellation unless Bahrain explodes in mass protests and violence. All the kit has arrived in Bahrain now.

Scratch my previous post...

Breaking news:

Not sure it will go ahead and if it does, I'll be very surprised.

Appears that Sauber were caught up in the protests as well.

Force India opt not to run in second practice so they can get back to the hotel in daylight hours.

Bernie is a t*** and still upholds that the country is safe.

This, it's disgraceful. The FIA say they don't get involved with politics, but they must know they're endorsing an oppressive regime <doh>

I have a concern that it will kick off tonight in a last ditch attempt to get the race cancelled and globally raise the issue of Bahrain again.

Well if that can happen without anybody getting hurt, I hope that happens. Bahrain needs to be addressed by the international community, just like Syria and the Sudanese conflict need to be addressed. Casting a blind eye has shown itself to not work.

I'm worried about what I will find on the news tomorrow morning.

All it takes is one of the drivers to be caught on the way to the track...
