Stephen Miller - Paralympian

Post by Colback's Orange Tufts » Thu Aug 09, 2012 7:24 pm

Saw this on the carvery, Stephen Miller, local paralympian meeting Pards.

Stephen is such a canny lad, I've met him as he's the chair of the disabled supporters club. I remember going to the end of year event and James Milner (I think) spent an age talking to him, just two sportsmen talking shop.

Wanted to make an article to see if anyone has read his book. It's called 'Paralympian', about competing whilst at school and uni and it is mint. Basically, he just loves sport and wants to compete, just treats his disability as a minor annoyance. Worth a read, inspiring.

I've been in his house. Never spoke to him though.

I worked with his brother when I was in my late teens. So I saw Stephen Miller but didn't say owt, was just inside waiting for his brother as it was too cold to wait outside.
