I only ever get to see it at the Olympics but it's the only sport I actively make sure I watch.

My mum used to teach badminton and me and my sisters entered loads of tournaments - all of us bloody love it!

It's absolutely mental how quick they are even at the women's doubles level let alone the men's doubles. It's just such a ridiculously underrated sport; far more exciting than other, more popular racquet sports like table tennis and tennis anyway <awe>

To be honest, the women's doubles just seems so bloody slow half the time,

They did put both women's doubles on first on Saturday and I was quite hungover so I probably didn't really appreciate it though <laugh>

I like badminton but I've vowed to never play it again. I play squash and the flick you do in badminton is terrible for your squash action, so it's one or the other. Shame cos badminton is fun.

Also if you think Badminton is quick, watch a pro squash match <****>

Although getting hit with a shuttlecock is much less painful. I got hit full on in the eye (ball hit my eyeball), unpleasant. Had double vision for two days

never really played squash but play both tennis and badminton. Just means i end up playing half my tennis shots with flicks of the wrists and it nearly breaks them <laugh>

I've started playing this weekly, and I enjoy watching it on TV but rarely get to see it. For me, because of the speed it is far more exciting to watch than Tennis.
