Djokovic will be one of the favourites for the French but definitely not the favourite, he had a good game against Djokovic, but Djokovic clearly not at his best while Nadal played his best in a long time yet he couldn't take a set.

Djokovic has had such a tough run in Rome, it's the best chance Murray has had a in a long time to beat him. Murray could only have had an easier tournament draw if he hand picked it himself.

Federer out of RG, not particularly surprised. It will be the first grand slam he's missed this century though.

Unbelievable record, it's worrying that he's picking up a lot of niggling injuries now though.

If Federer was having these injuries a few years ago when he was playing badly I think he'd have retired. Probably still feels like he has the game though, especially at Wimbledon, hopefully he gets himself fully fit for it. Kind of sucks that as soon as Nadal starts to find a bit of form Federer starts struggling with injuries. Hardly surprising but Del Potro's also pulled out.

Murray sneaked through in 5.

Nadal through easily.

Murray made a meal of it against Stepanek.

Laura Robson lost the first set.

It was always going to be a tough task for her to beat Petkovic

Murray "the king of clay" is really doing his best to f*** up his easy draw.

Murray seems to be in control against Karlovic but given his first two matches in this tournament it's not beyond him to have a few off sets.

There is no luckier player then Murray in the past month or so, couldn't have had an easier draw at Rome unless he hand picked it himself and his chance to win the French is just getting easier, ultra easy draw and now Nadal has dropped out with an injury.

<wat>

It's Djokovic who has got lucky with Nadal's withdrawal. Murray still has the likes of Nishikori and Wawrinka. Now Nadal is out Djokovic has an open road to the final.

Gutted for Nadal, thought he was going to get his 10th here.

Djokovic gets even luckier with Tsonga pulling out. He couldn't've wished for an easier route to the final.

The post Nadal/Federer era looks bleak.

Would love Thiem to push on and win this.

Djokovic and Murray at one set each. Murray starting to get his ass handed to him on a plate by Djokovic who has just broke him in the third set. Looks like this final is only going one way now...

That was fairly easy for Djokovic after the 1st set.

Barring injury, I can see him beating Federer's slam record. He is arguably the 2nd best ever right now.

Seeing Del Potro playing this week just makes me more excited to see him playing at a Grand Slam again. Been far too long for my liking.

I just can't build up hope for him anymore. The US Open win was nearly 7 years ago and the Olympic battle with Federer was 4 years ago now. His injury spell in 2010 was bad enough and the comeback was a struggle. Now he's not played a slam since the Australian Open 2014. Even Laura Robson has entered 3 in that time.
