Fair play to him capitalising on the Nadal injury, just hope its not too bad for Nadal and he can be fit again soon, take nothing away from Stan though played a cracking first two sets dropped in the 3rd but seized his opportunity and came back into it to win in the 4th, resilience is the sign of a true champion and both players showed that today. Good final.
The <erk>'sburg dynasty is over 3 seasons, 3 division 1 titles.

Nadal :(

Hope his injury is not too serious. Impressive how he kept fighting on though <awe>. Think a lot of players would of retired during the second set.

Nice to see the Australian crowd were their typical classless selves.

Can you really say that when Nadal is completely classless as well? <whistle>

What? <laugh>

With his constant time wasting, time violations, he's claimed he's injured so much that people question authenticity, his grunting to put off the other player (he tends to do it only when under pressure) etc.

Pure class.

Nadal takes longer between points that most, that is just the way he plays and he acknowledges that he takes too long somethimes. The rest of your post is utter drivel.

Glad to see Wawrinka win, certainly seems to be a brilliant player these days.

There is no way Nadal has more class than Federer.

I find Federer very ungracious when he loses.

Nadal is my favourite player in tennis by a longshot but I do find Federer to be the <gent> of tennis, however Nadal is far better than Djok/Murray in terms of gamesmanship, Novak does it so slyly it irritates me

This, for example, whenever Federer's questioned about his next opponent in early rounds of grand slams he always knows about them, when he last played them etc. Also when he beat Murray at WImbledon in 2012 he was more than happy to stand there answering questions about Murray despite the fact that they should have been concentrating on him.

He seems to always complain about stuff and makes excuses when he loses, also rarely give the other player credit for beating him. The whole Wimbledon 2009 final thing was not great either <erk>.

Rafael Nadal wrote:This is not the moment to talk about the back, it’s the moment to congratulate Stan. He’s playing unbelievably. He really deserved to win that title. I’m very happy for him. He’s a great, great guy. He’s a good friend of mine. I am really happy for him. So just congratulate him for everything. I tried hard until the end, trying to finish the match as good as I could for the crowd, for the opponent, for me
Typically classy comments from Nadal. <roll>
