Mayweather vs Pacquiao - 2 May at MGM Grand
Re: Mayweather vs Pacquiao - 2 May at MGM Grand
To be honest I couldn't name many boxers. It's like being the best darts player of your generation, no one really cares.

Its Flloyd Mayweather ffs!
He's a 5 division world champion and one of the best pound-for-pound fighters of all time.
His record alone in boxing will be remembered forever, not to mention his character (whether you loved him or hated him), the worldwide media attention he's made for himself over the years and the stupid amount of money he's made from all his fights.

It’s the noise, the passion, the feeling of belonging, the pride in your city.

I bet Mayweather isn't remembered fondly though, he will be one of the greats that isn't remembered as much as the likes of Pac/ Marquez/ DLH/ Berrera/ Morales etc. Incredible boxer but so damn boring to watch. The Deluded Pablo Diego Jose Francisco wrote:Bodacious Benny wrote:Nobody will remember Mayweather in 20/30/40 years time.

4.4million PPV buys in America alone for the Pac/ Mayweather PPV. That is staggering, boxings dead etc.

You won't be able to mention the likes of Pacquiao, DLH and Marquez without mentioned Mayweather though - simply cuz he's faced them, and beat them.

Course you would, Those three have all had amazing fights against many other opponents. Mayweather never needs mentioned when talking about them.Chappy wrote:You won't be able to mention the likes of Pacquiao, DLH and Marquez without mentioned Mayweather though - simply cuz he's faced them, and beat them.

Herol Graham is still one of my all time favourite boxers. Lots of the best refused to fight him in his prime.
