Trott should have reviewed that, can see this being over by close of play tomorrow with England winning by 2 wickets or something like that.

Pieterson was a little unlucky too.

would like a steady evening session 72-3 now, would be delighted with 100-3 at Stumps

104-6, not great.
And in conclusion, how far had you got through reading this before you realised it was my signature?

What has happened to Morgan recently? He has gone from the finest natural batting talent I can remember to somebody without any confidence at all in virtually no time. He needs a good second innings now to hold on to his place in the team by the looks of it.

Lost this game, England need to make changes for Sri Lanka, like dropping Bell, Morgan and Pietersen, for Bopara, Hales and Bresnan, leaving the order as follows
Cook
Hales
Trott
Strauss
Bopara
Prior
Bresnan
Broad
Swann
Anderson
Panesar

Don't agree with dropping Bell and Pietersen. They're both excellent cricketers, we've just had a shocking series. Pietersen looked like he was getting back into form before an unfortunate dismissal.

I think Morgan should be dropped for Bresnan though. I don't see why we take six specialist batsmen when Prior is an world class batsman in his own right and Broad, Swann and Bresnan are all very good with the bat.

I agree, Prior is a quality batsman who can do a job up the order imo. Broad, Swann, Bresnan, Tremlett & Anderson can take out any order.

Properly spanked this morning, but doing a decent job so far with the bat. Just another 300 to go lads... <worried>

Good few hours for England. 7 wickets for about 30 runs and 14 overs no wickets. Need an 80 partnership to try and put some foundations down. Cook or trott to bat a 500 ball ton

Need to not lose a wicket in the next 100 runs imo.

James Taylor has to come in for Morgan, I do like Morgan but he should only be a one day player

Morgan is quality in 50 over/40 over cricket, great in t20 but test cricket maybe not.

Bugger! Just when I was thinking that Prior and Anderson were looking like they were going to make the score respectable, Anderson goes and gets out!

Feeling annoyed that the upper order made such hard work of it when Prior passes their scores in no time. Need to pull their fingers out big time or some changes need to be made. Rest Bell and Morgan for the next test imo.

All over, England all out for 252. Pakistan win by 71 runs. White washed!

the likely outcome.

just think though, no-one passed 50 in that england second innings and we still scored 252, just think about all of the other innings where we got out for 140 odd
