Re: Cricket
An absolute shocking display from England.
Scotland would have done better. In fact, we should burn a caber and play Australia for it.

Re: Cricket
England three nil up in the ODI's.
Maybe we should replace the Test team with the ODI team?
Yeah I know, its a different ball game altogether...

Re: Cricket
Scotland were robbed!!
This simply adds further evidence to the global conspiracy to stop the Scottish nation from participating in the major events.

Re: Cricket
England off to a great start.
All out for 77 in first innings and West Indies have set 550 (so far) during their second innings.

Re: Cricket
They need to bin off Jason Roy and the rest of our openers, just find a field with some lads playing cricket and bang them in, would be an improvement at the least.
Re: Cricket
Roy's had enough chances, but I think Burns has shown he can play, just needs to do it more consistently. We are truly awful 1-3 though. If Root really thinks he's that much better at 4 than three then he should have stuck Roy at 3 for the current test and gone to 4.Don Sholeone wrote: ↑Sun Sep 08, 2019 11:49 amThey need to bin off Jason Roy and the rest of our openers, just find a field with some lads playing cricket and bang them in, would be an improvement at the least.
Re: Cricket
I'm happy with Burns and Denly. They're improving as a partnership and both scored some good runs.

Re: Cricket
Denly not the long term answer. England and Australia are both teams in transition and need long term planning, to be stronger for the next Ashes in 2021/22 (probably the next time I'll be on here).
Re: Cricket
He's not the long term answer but we can't make 5/6 changes at every opportunity. For the next year or so him and Burns could do a job opening until someone is really knocking on the door.cbrad NUFC wrote: ↑Sun Sep 29, 2019 9:09 pmDenly not the long term answer.
