FIA and Red Bull have agreed an acceptable punishment sounds weak.

For a minor breach I think reduction in wind tunnel time is a fair and appropriate punishment, along with the fine.

Losing wind tunnel time will affect future developments for them.

Agree that nothing too hefty in terms of a punishment but why does the punishment have to be agreed between the two parties?

The FIA is the controlling authority and should be able to apply a punishment. If the team don't agree with it then it goes to a court of arbitration.

It just fuels the fire that they've come to an agreement in severity.

True, when the cost cap was brought in the punishment should have been documented e.g. if it's a minor then X will happen, if it's a major then X/Y/Z are the punishments.

Sounds like the punishment is negotiable, so if a team with less clout the Red Bull breach the same way that Red bull did could they get a heftier punishment as might not have the resources to fight it?

Fantastic for Russel, he dominated the weekend (sprint and race). Really deserves that after being super consistent all season. Hopefully Merc bring their second half of season form into next season to challenge Red Bull. If Ferrari can sort out their strategists/reliability then could have three teams in the mix.

Yep George was magnificent this weekend. Hard to see how anyone could have stopped him.

Fingers crossed it's a resurgence for them as 3 teams up for the title would be epic.

Looks like Aston Martin have a good car this season and have been touted as challengers. Liked that Alonso has played it down stating wait and see how many mistakes we make

Q1 had all 20 cars within 1.1 seconds of each other which bodes well for a some big midfield tussles this season.

Still think Red Bull will waltz it this season to driver's and constructors titles. The only thing possible to hold them back is reliability and we'll see how that pans out this season. Last season they started with some failures but got it all under control later.

If, and a big if, Ferrari can finally get strategy calls right then they may just stay in the hunt a bit longer. Two strong drivers with a good car and a new team lead.

Mercedes seem to have removed porpoising but still can't extract full pace out of the car. It's a bit squirmy in low speeds but they'll get thier act together at some point and hopefully soon enough to challenge Ferrari.

As an aside, the Alfa looks bloody stunning. Performance wise - alongside the AlphaTauri, Haas, Alpine and McLaren - not too much between them.

Williams to me are still an unknown. Slightly higher up in qualification at present due to some outside factors but seem to be a team now who start the season with the car that will finish the season and upgrades never seem to provide additional performance in comparison to those around them.

Yeah can’t see anything other than a verstappen title but nice if Aston can mix it up for podiums every now and again.
