Just waiting for Grosjean to take out a Ferrari when he tries to overtake.

Only just caught up with the second half of the race today, not a classic.

Yeah.

The Monza race will likely be the same as well unfortunately.

It's a shame that this year, which somehow has ended up having the best calendar ever with all these classic European races, has among the least competition ever.

I was really looking forward to Vietnam this season. Looked like 3 drag race strips incorporated into the layout

Well pleased for Gasly getting the win there.

Definitely. I grew up as a McLaren fan so would have been great to see them win again but so good to see how buzzing Gasly and his team were as in reality they probably never expect to win a race.

Yeah terrific race. Loved the spanner in the works of the red flag. I’d have them line up like that after every safety car...

When was the last red flag and proper restart? I genuinely can’t remember. Can’t remember the pit lane being closed either.

Amazing for Gasly after what happened to him at Red Bull.

I had it in my head it was that race in Malaysia in the Brawn GP season where they awarded half-points - but I don’t think they ever restarted that... There was one more recently, I’m sure

Yeah obvs Japan a few years ago was red flagged after the Bianchi accident but the race didn’t restart, and the Canadian GP about 10 years ago red flagged because of the rain that restarted behind the safety car. But no idea about a race that actually had a full race restart off the grid.

That's jogging my memory - didn't they change the rules away from behind-the-safety-car starts? Because it ruined a few races. In any case it worked so well I hope we do it regularly.

Screw it, let's make every safety car end with a grid start. Massively increase the excitement.
