So there's talk of putting an Indy Car style screen on F1 cars from 2021 <puke>

Also, a typhoon is heading for Japan this weekend and could potentially disrupt qually.

Looks like Typhoon Haggis is going to affect most sporting events this weekend in Japan.

Desperate for the Japan vs Scotland game to go ahead though!

<laugh>

I presume typhoon season hits Japan at the same time every year, seems strange to schedule the Rugby World Cup during it.

Oh, and at least Scotland can blame the weather if they're knocked out rather than when they inevitably lose to Japan (if they play) <roll>

Decent race that, mix of strategies and plenty of action

6 straight Drivers/Constructors titles in a row for Mercedes. It's farcical.

Fair play to Merc for developing a hell of a package, but the farce isn’t their success, it’s that a team as big as Ferrari (and Red Bull to a lesser extent) haven’t been able to pull their finger out their ass. It’s up to the others to catch Merc (which it looks like Ferrari may be doing) rather than for Merc to wait for them.

The farce is that Merc got a head start on development due to their development team helping the FIA come up with the specification concept when the hybrid era started, putting them at a huge advantage, exacerbated by the stupid token system preventing others from catching up.

Miami may have a deal set to hold a race in 2021.

So far the only details of the track is using the Dolphins stadium as part of the circuit. It does sound like a Vegas car park GP to be fair.

Yeah it’s cool that they do the podium bit in front of that section.

Lots of complaints about how bumpy the circuit is in Austin during first practice.

Any comments on the track temperature?
I was at the track yesterday and it was FREEZING. I thought Texas was supposed to be hot...

When I lived in Austin it snowed in November.

Usually you'd expect temps of about 20-23 degrees this time of year in Austin.

It's 6 right now 😂. I wasn't prepared for this, we're going coat shopping before the track this morning.

This race isn’t particularly interesting.
