Track is very low on grip today, loads of people spinning. Tail wind is causing issues too.

Great qualifying for the Haas team today.

Grosjean will stack it tomorrow though...

There will be rain in Spain!

Not sure if the track is on a plain... I think it's on a hill.

Feel sorry for Gasley. Came through a tricky few corners, avoided contact and then the field opens in front if him and he slams into the spinning Haas.

Yeah, f*** all he could have done. He's probably a PSA member now.

Im glad Grosjean got a penalty although its quite light really for a dangerous move like that, he could have wiped out far more people easily

I think it's a joke that you do something dangerous and stupid like that and get a 3 place grid penalty but you'll get a bigger grid penalty for having a gearbox change!

The rules are bloody stupid. How can it be right that you can drive faster in the pit lane than you can under a VSC?

Its not subject to the same restriction so it can be really advantageous to pit during the VSC. Now Im exaggerating a bit, but the VSC measurements stop when you go into the pit lane

It's not advantageous, it's just less disadvantagous than a regular pit stop, as other cars can't go as fast whilst you are speed limited/stopped.

This whole misunderstanding is a product of Sky/BBC crying their eyes out when Vettel won Australia because he lost less time in his pit stop than Hamilton and was really misinforming people.

Its still bloody stupid, as are lots of the rules. Unlapping yourself under the safety car for example, what is the point?

Yeah that is the most pointless thing ever. Oh we'll let them unlap themselves, hold up the race, and then when it restarts wave blue flags at them again to make them get out of the way even though they were already out of the way behind the safety car!
