Vettel He looks like the favourite for the Championship now. I'd be pretty happy with him or Alonso winning it

Re: The F1 Thread
I hate Alonso but I can't stand Vettel's dominance of the sport in recent years. This is basically the worst of both worlds

Does no one else like Alonso then? I don't understand what people have against him

I love Alonso . The only person I want do better than him is Button .

Re: The F1 Thread
So much want Alonso to win over Vettel. Can't stand Vettel; he is so petulant and has had the best car since 2009.
Re: The F1 Thread
2007 and 2008 did a lot to eliminate any of the goodwill that had built up for him beating Schumacher.TheLittleGeordie wrote:Does no one else like Alonso then? I don't understand what people have against him

Re: The F1 Thread
The drivers championship is still wide open which is nice.
Whilst Vettel seems to have the momentum and reliability of his car on his side I'm not writing of Alonso to pip him in the last race to the title. Of the remaining 4 circuits, 1 favours Ferrari, 2 favour Red Bull and one track is an unknown entity.

Realistically Alonso needs Vettel to hit problems.overseasTOON wrote:The drivers championship is still wide open which is nice.

Re: The F1 Thread
Depends on how good the Ferrari "big" updates are, if they get themselves close to Red Bull, then we know Alonso can do magical things

Re: The F1 Thread
True, he can win with any car and if he gets one of the best he can just continuously churn out good results from nothing. I'd like him to win. 3 titles puts you in the hall of fame forever and Vettel's still got plenty of time to get there while Alonso is probably reaching the final stages of his career now.Paco wrote:Depends on how good the Ferrari "big" updates are, if they get themselves close to Red Bull, then we know Alonso can do magical things
I still think Kimi can do it this year

Yeah, I feel Alonso's career has earned him 3 titles, while Vettel's hasn't yet.TheLittleGeordie wrote:True, he can win with any car and if he gets one of the best he can just continuously churn out good results from nothing. If Kimi did it! WOW
Re: The F1 Thread
Kimi would need Alonso and Vettel to take each other out of each of the next two races (three races if he wants to become the first driver to win a WDC without winning a race) plus a MASSIVE update from Lotus.
Wouldn't it be amazing?

If he did it without winning a race I would explode with happiness
