It’s so boring when Mercedes constantly pretend to be surprised that they’re so much quicker than everyone else. It’s bollocks, they know they can piss all over everyone so just come out and say “yeah, the others aren’t getting close”. It’s just trying to generate fake excitement.
To be fair they never really know how much faster their car is but I get what you are saying. All this "Ferrari are ahead of us...." "its going to be a tight season...." is just sporting politics bollocks - they always have an idea how fast they are.

The big difference today was Lewis though, nobody can get near him when he is in the groove

Yeah, when Hamilton is on it he’s unstoppable. I can see why people don’t like him, but on track amazing.

Great drive, absolute perfection from lights out to the chequered flag.

Odd how his car was so perfect but Lewis was struggling - doubt we will ever find out what happened with Lewis car

Seems the most likely cause, but not seen anything stating it 100%.

Merc said they found a chunk of it missing in front of the left-rear tyre, and Hamilton has said it was causing oversteer from lap four, overworking the rear tyres which is why he never pushed, and rather saved them to hold off VER towards the end.

Decent first half of the race, following closely definitely seems to be less punishing this year.

That is hard luck on Leclerc.

Safety car finish should save Leclerc a podium spot at least!

There is something incredibly unsettling about George Russell. I’m not sure if it’s the fact he looks like Woodie from Toy Story or his dead middle distance stare or oddly tiny mouth. But he gives me the creeps.

First 15 laps a bit of a borefest.

s*** race but Hamilton is up there with the most gifted sports people of all time. Absolutely untouchable.

Wouldn’t be surprised if he gets one of his earliest ever title wins this year. In the last couple of seasons Ferrari have kept pace until the summer break (before Ham goes on the dominate after the break) but they’re not even doing that now.
