Yeah more like 6.5
Haha oh yeah, I lost track of how many he had!

But he, nor anyone else would count this 'season' of 8 races as World Championship win.
Isn't there some rule on the amount of races for it to count as a World Championship?

The minimum to qualify as a Championship season is 8 races.

To date there are going to be 8 European races if all goes to plan and its expected that they can still fit in Bahrain and Abu Dhabi as well to finish off the season.

It'll still never be viewed in the eyes of fans and drivers as a proper World Championship though with so few races by modern standards.

I agree it won't be accepted as a proper Championship by the fans and will likely be appended in the history books with something like (decided after x number of races due to covid-19) but as long as the minimum number is met then the title stands.

I know bottas got pole with a great lap, but that mistake shows why he’ll never be a world champion - he does something like that a bit too often, it’s hard to remember Hamilton throwing it off the circuit like that.

Ferrari have a dog. Jeez are they miles off the pace!

So it falls down to Red Bull to mount a challenge and that just doesn't look like it's going to happen at all.

Given that teams will be very reluctant to spend any money on in-season improvements; this season is a dud.

Merc to win every race...it’s not even a proper season as far as I’m concerned.

I agree about Merc winning it all but if... big IF; they do hold a race at Portimao then I'll be happy as hell. As far removed from a Tilke track as you can get!

Next year will be the same car, so I certainly hope they spend on improvements.

Alonso confirmed to return to F1 with Renault next season.

Big kick in the teeth for a few talented F2 drivers such as Nyck de Vries, Jack Aitken and Luca Ghiotto who did really well last season and have pedigree in lower formulas.

Raikonnen contract ends at the end if this season so two spots could have opened up.

Maybe Renault are thinking of the car development for the season after next with reg changes. Alonso with his experience will be far more valuable in that respect than an f1 rookie.

Alonso is a legend for Renault, I can't blame them for getting him back in.

Was good to see Lando get on the podium! Same again this weekend...?
