Grand Theft Auto V - On PC 14/04
Re: Grand Theft Auto V
GTA V on PS4, Xbox One and PC in autumn, with ability to transfer progress from 360 or PS3 versions via Social Club.
Re: Grand Theft Auto V - PS4/One/PC this Autumn
So i can buy a new game and transfer the fact that ive completed it over? Brilliant.

Didn't look at it that way.Nick wrote:So i can buy a new game and transfer the fact that ive completed it over? Brilliant.
Still going to do it though
Re: Grand Theft Auto V - PS4/One/PC this Autumn
Maybe they'll actually have heists out by the time this comes around. It's out on the 28th of October by the way. At the moment Gameseek are pricing it as a full £45 game on consoles (£55 at Game...), £25-£30 on PC.
Re: Grand Theft Auto V - PS4/One/PC this Autumn
Why the f*** would I want to buy it again Rockstar?
Re: Grand Theft Auto V - PS4/One/PC this Autumn
They want GTA:Online to be a big deal for years to come, hard to do that if the early adopters are stuck on PS3/360.
Re: Grand Theft Auto V - PS4/One/PC this Autumn
I dont think ive touched GTA since i completed it. Online was a bti 'meh'.
Somethings changed with the GTA games though, and i cant quite put my finger on. I used to love logging in on GTA 3 or Vice City (after id completed them - or even before...) and just going on my own personal rampage. Sometimes with added cheats.. Whereas it just feels pointless and not as fun on these newer ones :S

They put more emphasis on graphics and scale, and less on gameplay and fun.Nick wrote:I dont think ive touched GTA since i completed it. Online was a bti 'meh'.

I think the same. Although I put it down to me being older and have less of an imagination.Nick wrote:I dont think ive touched GTA since i completed it. Online was a bti 'meh'.

My thoughts were that what made GTA V great was that you felt immersed in a world. While I haven't played the online mode, I can't imagine you remain immersed in the same way - GTA is fundamentally a story driven game. Multiplayer would feel, I suspect, hollow.
I had the first custom w***
Re: Grand Theft Auto V - PS4/One/PC on 28/10
I did feel immersed in the story, which probably leads to me seeing the game as ended once that story finishes. Similar to Skyrim. There just didnt seem like a point in doing any more... Whereas in other games ive maybe not completed the full story but played for hours and hours, just messing around and doing my own personal rampages.
Full all they went on about the scale of the map, it didnt actually feel that big. I felt like i could get from one end to the other in no time. Have the different islands in previous maps felt a lot larger to me.

Saw a trailer for the upgraded ps4 version today. Looks nice but one of the selling points was more traffic in the city? That'll just be annoying trying to get anywhere in the city and worse in missions. Realism isn't always a good thing.
As for new locations. Has to be in the states I think, but somewhere off the map. Either somewhere near the Mexican border for drug related things. Or if that's stepping on RDR shoes too much one of the unheralded big cities in the US with lots of unexplored character.. A Houston, Detroit, Philly or New Orleans? After watching Fargo Minneapolis would be amazing

Didn't rockstar pretty much sell this game to 360/ps3 users claiming it wouldn't be on next gen? Pricks.
Re: Grand Theft Auto V - PS4/One/PC on 28/10
I don't remember them saying it's wouldn't be coming to next gen, unless I'm mistakenLe Mighty Buche wrote:Didn't rockstar pretty much sell this game to 360/ps3 users claiming it wouldn't be on next gen? Pricks.
Re: Grand Theft Auto V - PS4/One/PC on 28/10
It was implied that it was always going to come to PS4/One/PC, or at the very least Online would. You don't build what is intended to be its own platform (GTA: Online) exclusively on 8 year old hardware.
Re: Grand Theft Auto V - PS4/One/PC on 28/10
GTA: Online seems to have improved a fair bit since the custom races etc have been added. Haven't played it myself but I'm quite tempted to later from what I've seen.
Re: Grand Theft Auto V - PS4/One/PC on 28/10
Races have got better but the matchmaking (on the 360 anyway, presumably the same everywhere else) is still horrible. Doing the same thing that killed early Assassin's Creed online, where one person joins a game and then spam everyone with invites before the game fills up, can get tiresome. Especially if you keep finding 2/3 man lobbies.Amnesiac wrote:GTA: Online seems to have improved a fair bit since the custom races etc have been added.
