Neither have I, for about two months.

I seriously loved it for a couple of weeks, I still love it but I can't be bothered to play it.

It always happens to me, with every game other than Fifa. I'll love a game, play the s*** out of it, then not play on it again for a while.

Skyrim

Post by StoneyNUFC » Thu Mar 29, 2012 2:11 pm

Just thought I'd post one up about Skyrim, so people can give tips loopholes etc.

If you are going to put anything that may be a spoiler please use the NSFW button! :) <ok>

If you crouch and shoot shadowmere repeatedly this will get your archery and sneaking right up and level you at the same time! Incredibly boring though, I didn't bother

Also if you pay for training, try making the character a follower first, then you can trade the money back off them!

I would avoid marrying Camilla Valerius (I had to use the console commands to undo it) as she is a dirty cheating skank and is already in a love triangle!

If you marry Mjol The Lioness her mate is always hanging around at your house (if that's where you choose to live) - if this bugs you you can kill him, but not infront of her as you will not be able to trade with her or get your daily money! Follow him out of the town and make sure no-one sees you do it, then take him out. I havent tried it, but presumably there would be no problem with doing it in Beast form if you happen to be a wearwolf, provided no one saw you transform

Any mod recommendations? Nothing stupid or drastic, just to enhance a first play-through.

Currently running;
- A Quality World Map
- Categorized Favorites
- Cloaks of Skyrim
- Colored Map Markers
- Enhanced Blood Textures
- Enhanced Night
- FXAA Post Process Injector
- Official HD texture DLC
- Realistic Ragdolls and Force
- Skyrim Flora Overhaul
- SkyUI
- Static Mesh Improvement Mod
- Xenius Character Enhancement

Will probably get one of the follower improvement mods once I have one.

I start playing then just give up after five mins and play Fifa. Don't know why I'm just not that into it anymore.

The team at Bethesda Game Studios is excited to announce another new feature making its way into Skyrim… Mounted Combat! Like the recently added Kinect support (360) and new kill cameras, this highly-requested feature that was seen in the Skyrim Game Jam video is arriving for free. In fact, by opting into the latest Steam Beta Update, PC users can check out the feature today. As far as release on other platforms, we’ll let you know when we have more information.

Thanks again to all our fans, we remain committed to supporting the game through our free updates, mod tools, and more. And yes, we’re still working on our first add-on, Dawnguard – some great stuff to show soon, stay tuned!

Read the current 1.6 release notes below…

DOWNLOADING THE BETA UPDATE ON STEAM

If you’d like to download the 1.6 Beta Update on Steam, you’ll need to follow these steps:

Log into Steam
Click on Steam in the upper menu
Select Settings
Under the Account tab, go to the Beta Participation section and select Change.
A drop down menu will appear. Select Skyrim Beta.
Select OK.
Steam will now restart. After Steam restarts, Skyrim will be updated to the Beta version currently available.

If you opt into the Beta, be sure to back up your saved games or simply be careful not to overwrite your existing saves. If you decide to opt out of the beta program, your old saves will still work with the current release of Skyrim on Steam (v 1.5).

If you decide you don’t want to run the Beta anymore, redo steps 1 – 4. At the drop down, select NONE – Opt out of all beta programs. Let Steam restart, and Skyrim will automatically update itself back to the latest released version.

Hmm. It's summer. Do I buy Skyrim to waste my summer away? <awe>

I imagine the price will have dropped by now? <scratch>

Price hasn't really dropped much, still around £30-£35 for the inferior version, and about £25 for the amazing version. But yes, you do.

Also I felt I had to screenshot this. Forgot to disable the HUD though <neg>
