I suppose a normal run would be sensible for making sure everyone is comfortable with relic, but I don't think I can be arsed putting a team together tonight now, and the less I have to play Destiny the better <whistle>. RNGsus isn't going to bless me with any armour, and even if he does it's not getting me to 30 any time soon.

I'm not buying the expansions, so I guess so. A legit hard mode clear would be nice, but unless we find another couple of reliable people that's going to need us to be 30 probably. Apart from that I have no reason to play and a lot less time to waste on grinding now. They have a system where the only thing of benefit to me is a single activity once a week, and that's only to make me hit an arbitrary number to be more effective at that once a week thing.

Yeah can see where you're coming from. I just feel like all the time I've invested in it will be for nothing if I don't get to 30, which is ridiculous as like you say it's just an arbitrary number, but still.

I haven't decided if I'm going to get the expansions or not yet, I'm going to wait until it comes out and see how bored I am at the time.

I've got the expansion pass (got it with the game reduced), so I'm in for the (not-so) long run. The only reason I've committed to this game so much is that and the fact I love Halo.

Over the last couple of weeks I've got an alt to Level 25. Once I have Vanguard Level 2, I reckon I might enjoy the end-game a little more when I can do the raid(s) twice a week instead of waiting around.

Bungievision have outdone themselves here. The weekly and nightfall require the expansion, and apparently they've removed engram drops from the non-expansion strike playlists? <awe>

Apparently it's not every week that nightfall require the expansion, kind of makes sense they've done a dlc strike this week.

By not providing a non-DLC alternative they're removing a significant chunk of the week's already paltry end-game content from people who have paid for weeklies/nightfalls as part of the game, and will do so every time it cycles around or a new DLC is released.

There's no reasonable explanation for the strike playlist changes.

I'm not saying I agree with the morality of it, I'm just saying you release your first dlc, you're going to try and make it look as value for money as possible.

The raid (level 26) is alright but it's not worth the grind. Strikes and mission are repetitive. It becomes a game that you only continue playing because you've spent so much time already on it to get that far. I would stop now whilst you still can.

After what they've done to the game with the DLC, I haven't touched it. Bungie are twats.

Got a bit exciting for a while and then very boring again very quickly. About halfway through Venus story and it just seems to be that they introduce a new enemy on each planet and that's all they have to spice it up. The game is almost entirely just fight your way to point X, put your ghost down there and then defend it against 5 or so waves of steadily more difficult enemies. The Sword of Crota mission has been the only interesting and fun part of this game for me so far.

That Sword of Crota mission filled me with so much hope, it was the first mission I did that wasn't in the alpha/beta.

Just wait until you're grinding public events and bounties, sprinkled with dailies and weeklies.

However many it is, it gets tiring pretty quickly running away when you have little health and then shooting them in the blatant weak spots a lot. It's a washed out Borderlands with far less variety - I just wish you could use the Sword of Crota as a special <grim>

Yeah probably won't get as far as that. I'm only playing this until Christmas when I'll hopefully have more games <roll>

A leaked image that originally made it's way onto the internet in October has suddenly found a larger audience, info probably outdated.

If true, that looks like the current was for a boxed release of a large DLC/expansion called Comet: Plague of Darkness in September 2015 with new content made up of 1 new location (Hive Ship), 12 missions, 4 strikes, 1 public event, 1 raid, 6 PvP maps, 3 sub-classes, 2 weapon types and +20 to the level cap. J Followed by a couple more DLC similar to TDB/HoW, Ep 3 about the Vex ("Vex Void"), Ep 4 about the "Forge of Gods".

Sounds like Comet might bring it up to a single game's worth of actual content <whistle> , and will likely be bundled up with the Destiny + Eps 1 & 2 into a GOTY edition.

I guess 2016 will bring Destiny 2, more planets, and a better infrastructure.
