That's probably because everything in politics is propagated!

[The Situation]

Just read through this thread now, and some interesting issues have been raised, and the point about America only getting involved when the issue effects them is pretty true, look at any war or conflict they have got involved with.

But this case is hard to connect with the american goverment unless they invade Uganda (lets not forget America has been dealing with this issue on the reasonably quiet for a few years now), for me its not the Goverment pushing this, its the Invisible Children organisation, its been documented how sketchy their accounts are:

From what I take from that they are on nearly £90K a year, thats some salary for a supposed charity and non profit organisation.

Also they arranged events where people put posters up in the streets to support the organisation, they charged $30 for a pack! hhmm never seen a charity operate this way before, sounds like some sort of scheme to me!

After watching the video and then doing some quick googling on the issue I came across this video which raises a few good points and I kind of explains people's objections / concerns to the whole 'KONEY 2012' campaign.

I was neither for or against any conspiracy theory here. It just always seems like whatever America does, there's a conspiracy behind it all.

But after doing some further reading, to be fair, I can start to see why this whole campaign seems a little strange.

Its irrational to think that its NOT a conspiracy of some form...

I think we should hand out the tin foil hats to the people that want to give 2 quid a month to an organisation that happily admits it only gives 30% of it to helping the problem and how can we be sure even that 30% is used responsibly or filters through properly?????
