BBC? I think I watched that when it aired a couple of years ago? I didn't know it was on netflix, I'll definitely give it another watch. It was very very good.

BBC? I think I watched that when it aired a couple of years ago? I didn't know it was on netflix, I'll definitely give it another watch. It was very very good.

Watched it. I don't get what could possibly make his fish on rice any better than anyone else's fish on rice. I mean how different could it be when it's literally 2 ingredients

You could say that about any food or cook . Pretty sure it is what you do with them that matters.

But it's just rice and raw fish. So he's cooking one thing and all rice tastes pretty much the same

Considering his apprentices take a year to learn how to prepare and cook the rice (and that is before they are even allowed to touch the fish) by his method and standards, I would disagree .

I just don't see how it's possible for one sushi to be THAT different from another

Pretty sure the documentary kind of shows how it is possible .

I not of food person at all so I was not really bothered about it from a food perspective anyway.

I was surprised how much I enjoyed "Draft Day" on Netfilx. Kevin Costner as General Manager of an NFL team. Surprisingly good.

I was surprised how much I enjoyed "Draft Day" on Netfilx. Kevin Costner as General Manager of an NFL team. Surprisingly good.

I find I rarely enjoy sports films. The stories are almost always identical throughout (this isn't about 'Draft Day' as I haven't seen it, but more a general point), and they either win or lose the big game at the end with only seconds to spare. I did enjoy 'Moneyball' however, but mainly because it appealed to the spreadsheet nerd in me and I think it's a great way to assess players.
