Rugby League

Post by L8RS » Fri May 01, 2015 2:48 pm

Gutted that the Magic Weekend is being held at SJP when some of my money will no doubt go to Mike Ashley if I choose to attend..

Let the Sky millions roar the team home. Let the bulging cash account suck a goal into the Gallowgate net when it’s most needed.
I’m out; let them sink or swim without me, for the near future at least.

On the plus side, you might enjoy yourself.

I was going to go but I don't want to give Mike Ashley a penny. So I'm probably going to go and watch Newcastle Thunder the day before.

Castleford should smash Wakey this time after being shown up at home first game of the season! Then again... being a Toon supporter, my recent track record with derbies is awful :/

Would be great to see lots of Newcastle United supporters at the Rugby League magic weekend this week. It is a great sport and will be a superb family event and atmosphere.
Also as you may have seen my club Widnes Vikings are supporting the Sir Bobby Robson charity by wearing a specially made black and white shirt for our game on Saturday. All the proceeds going to the charity. So buy a shirt and come along and cheer for Widnes. You will enjoy it!

Watched some of it on Saturday and it seemed a really good day. Wished I'd gone. Was particularly impressed with the Leeds v Wigan game. The see of Black and White for Widnes was also very good to see.

Two tickets for magic weekend (carer goes free) for 42 quid. Not bad for three games. Haven't been to league in years like but the 40:20 rule seems to have made it a better watch

I was at the semi-final last friday, I went with a mate (who's a Wigan fan) - sat in South Stand with my Cas top on <laugh>
