Seeing a 147 live would be one of the best things you could see as a snooker fan, O'Sullivan was on one but chose not to as he's a petulant t***. It'd be like a football team winning a penalty but opting to pass the ball straight to the keeper.
And you don't think they saw that? It was a fine break and wasn't any less impressive for him going for the pink instead of the black. And his actions weren't petulant or spoilt at all, he was sending out a message, the amount on offer is pathetic, they used to get £147,000 for one at the World Championship 20 years ago. Players are less inclined to take a risky black early on in a break when the prize fund for it is so low.
The break was avoidably less than the best he could have done, so no, I don't think they saw him do his best.

This isn't the world championship, not every tournament can offer £147k for a maximum break.

One of the best things you could see is a memorable 146. Anyone that was there will remember that and love it.

The frame was sewn up.

He should have gone for a maximum anyway irrespective of the prize on offer for attaining it.

Agreed.

Professional sports people should always aim for the best.

Do you get as irate when players play exhibition shots after securing a frame? Or leave the black on the table after a frame-winning pink?

Wins 9-5 after being 5-2 down. Phenomenal clearance to take the win, unreal performance tonight.

O’Sullivan should have a knighthood, other sports stars have got one for doing less than he’s done.

Maybe seen as too controversial or just waiting until retirement?
