Djokovic is ridiculously good.

He didn't need to be, Murray was woeful.Bodacious Benny wrote:Djokovic is ridiculously good.
Re: General Tennis Thread
Djokovic has a great chance to beat Federer's slam record, it's pretty much a given that he will beat Nadals.

Murray is generally crap in the Australian Open final, or whenever he plays Djokovic. Even so, Djokovic is on another level. He's like Messi.Pretty Terrible Attacking Options wrote:He didn't need to be, Murray was woeful.Bodacious Benny wrote:Djokovic is ridiculously good.

Re: General Tennis Thread
Not getting much better for Nadal. Lost on clay in Argentina vs Dominic Thiem. Even more ranking points lost for Nadal.
Re: General Tennis Thread
Another loss on clay for Nadal. Semi finals of a tournament in Rio vs P. Cuevas
Re: General Tennis Thread
He's done.
Re: General Tennis Thread
Looks like it, worse than last season so far and on his strongest surface.

Sharapova failed a drugs test at the Australian Open, wonder how long she'll be banned for.

Surely it wont be too bad? Considering it's only been banned since 1st January and it was a pretty honest mistake.Wedge Head Tiote wrote:Sharapova failed a drugs test at the Australian Open, wonder how long she'll be banned for.

Re: General Tennis Thread
She has a team around her and received emails about the changes in banned substances, it should be a ban like any other ban for performance enhancing drugs. Their own fault for not bothering to read the changes.ALF wrote:Surely it wont be too bad? Just because it has a medical use doesn't mean she was definitely using it for a condition. Her team probably knew of its enhancing properties and let her take it because it didn't used to be banned

She's already said it was because of an irregular heartbeat I believe.Pretty Terrible Attacking Options wrote:Just because it has a medical use doesn't mean she was definitely using it for a condition. The manufacturers said it should only be used for a maximum of 6 weeks.ALF wrote:She's already said it was because of an irregular heartbeat I believe.Pretty Terrible Attacking Options wrote:Just because it has a medical use doesn't mean she was definitely using it for a condition. This is like the Zoolander sketch, about the hot model, and in Sharapova, well , she's a hottie so everyone trusts her, if she was a bovine munter folk would be lining up to condemn her for this as a drugs cheatALF wrote:Surely it wont be too bad? fwiw, her and her 'advisors' more so, have had her on this for at least ten years, so much for a diabietic with a heart condition playing top level tennis.
This drug , from Latvia had similar properties to what Armstrong was doing with the EPO, doping is doping , is cheating, hwoever you dress it up. Anything to gain an advantage , at all costs. Or maybe I'm just too cynical. There are a rake of other endurance athletes who have copped a ban for being on this same substance since it was outlawed.
