---------------------------------------------

Score points at the end of the season and at the half-way point.

End of season
25 points per team if any selected team of yours is champion, each top team has a 25-point score ...
15 points if a team promoted, but not as champions, or having a place in Champions League (incl. qualifying rounds) for the Premier and European leagues
10 points if a team is in the play-offs but not finally promoted (or in the Europa League competition, including qualifying rounds, for Premier and European leagues)
but minus -6 - your chosen team is in the lower half of the table!
minus -12 - your team is relegated!!

Progress points at the Half-way mark
(in every league in the right moment in that league, meaning when a majority of teams reach the exact half-way point, so a lot of supervision work from me!)
10 points per team if momentarily champions
7 if in a direct promotion position but not currently as champions (or places in Champions League for the Premier and European leagues)
4 if a team is in any play-off position (or at the moment is in the positions for the Europa League competition, including qualifying rounds, for the Premier and European leagues)
minus -3 - your chosen team is currently in the lower half of the table!
minus -6 - your chosen team is currently in direct relegation positions (incl. relegation play-off position) !!

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Two simple rules -

1.. you can’t name more than SEVEN teams the same as anyone else on your forum ! So first to post their selection holds rights on that selection - no-one else can copy it afterwards !! So get in quick…
2.. We respect the tables offered by each official league, including any possible points deductions and any other punishments. Any team not completing (very unlikely !) the league season, for whatever reason, is considered void..

Guesses and entries accepted until Thursday 4th August, which is the day before kick-off in any of these leagues!!

Course, gotta wait to May 2017 to find out the final winners! But I’ll be posting progress reports on the leagues, with little anecdotes here and there to keep these threads alive ...

Toon fans now number 4, and well over three dozen back in total.

so you don't accidently copy others, here is the progress list:

Remember, you can't choose more than 7 the same as anyone else!

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

In a week or so, I'll get up that old favourite - the "Premier League Positions Game" which reverts back to being an individual player event as well as an average forum entry. We're expecting 150-200 entries on this, according to our best estimates!

Entries currently -
Watford - WFC Forums 17
Blackpool - Back Henry Street 12
LEEDS - LUFC Talk 8
Blackburn - Rovers Talk 6
Newcastle - ToonForum 4
Peterborough - Posh Forum 4
Reading - Royals Rendezvous 4
Sunderland - Black Cat Chat 1

that’s 56 in total. I was calculating 50 to 60, so it’s not bad. I think we’ll get more as kick-off approaches!! But you principally play against posters on your forum, not against other forums ...
Remember entries welcome until 4th August!

Great ... that's 60 in all - and that was my initial aim. Anything now is a bonus!

Just as a matter of interest, Paddy Power have the following teams as favourites in their relevant divisions;

Man City
Newcastle
Sheff Utd
Portsmouth
------ no National League given -
Celtic
Hibs
Barcelona
Bayern Munich
Juventus

Of course, may not mean anything at all as they are only watching the money; still, I'm sure they messed up both Leicester and Chelsea last year, probably Bournemouth as well!

Out of interest this should be the complete entry list as we stand. If someone has posted this morning it might not show up. But apart from that, if you don't see your name and you've done it, please yell on the thread.

So only this week, try to have all in by Thursday night if possibly, and by Friday Championship kick-off at the very limit of deadline ....
