Don't disagree, but I do think they financially overvalue him. Only the very top keepers seem to sell for a lot of money, and otherwise I'm always surprised how affordable they are on the transfer market. Not to mention that most of the big spender clubs in England aren't in the market for a high-priced GK, and Liverpool has already been burned by one Sunderland keeper buy.

I quite enjoyed this thread: https://www.readytogo.net/smb/threads/a ... d.1362406/
Sunderland AFC are probably the best club you will ever play for!

Time & time again players leave Sunderland & their careers go down the s*** pan.
Not many players leave Sunderland & go on to better things.

So when you're sitting in your ivory tower with your Ferrari or whatever parked outside this is as good as it gets!!
<laugh>

Yes, I'm sure the likes of John O'Shea (Man Utd), Manquillo (Atletico Madrid), Larsson (Arsenal), Denayer (Man City), Anichebe (Everton), Defoe (Spurs) and Borini (Liverpool) are all sitting there thinking Sunderland are the best club they've ever played for.

Players' careers continue to go down the pan when they leave Sunderland as they were already going down the pan anyway <laugh>.
Kindly deeds done for free!

On signing Atsu
I bet he's on £40K a week and signing on fee is usually around 10% of the transfer, so it wouldn't be far short of £10m.

The fact Gouffran is out on a free also, means you've spent best part of £10m and your squad is actually weaker than it was last season. Priceless!

Right? Except of course some of his wages would have been in this year's existing budget - but hey, let's use them as our accountants, they seem like a smart bunch. I'm surprised they're not using his wages over the length of his contract as part of their calculation. <laugh>

Clearly the best post on that thread hasn't received a single "like".

I wonder why...

6th, Wembley here we come. Back for our second visit. Must get some pictures to show the mags what the new Wembley looks like.
<laugh> I don't think they realise that winning the league and bypassing the playoffs is better than having to play in the final at Wembley.

I'll try and go to that as we're not likely to get to a Cup Final anytime soon (even if we did I'd never be able to get a ticket) so it's probably the only chance I'll ever have to see us play at Wembley <laugh>

(Hope it's a weeknight game so I've got more chance of getting a ticket :bandit: )

I can't believe the amount that think that they should be top/top 2 <laugh>

They the worst team out of the three going down... by a f***ing mile.

They'd do well to finish top half. Much better sides in the Championship than them and two better equipped going down with them as well.
