Found a great bar in Cork, the Bierhaus. Got about 18 beers on tap and a massive bottle selection. Having a Founders Breakfast Stout at the moment

You should try to get your hands on some Franciscan Well. Their wheat beer and red ale are and they're brewed in Cork so should be able to get them easilyBodacious Benny wrote:Found a great bar in Cork, the Bierhaus. Strangely when I lived just outside Southwold and thier Adnams brewery, I found it easier to get hold of new beers from Adnams in London than my local which was actually the brewery pub.Duke wrote:You should try to get your hands on some Franciscan Well. Didn't realise I was only about half hour away from Rebellion Brewery in Marlow. Lots of great beers and and help-yourself taster pumps . That's next saturday decided.

A local resturant does pint and a half steins of the red ale for £4. Absolute steal. Goes down perfectly with a Sunday roast.Duke wrote:You should try to get your hands on some Franciscan Well. Love a decent porter. Cocoa Wonderland (Thornbridge Brewery) is very nice and can get it in some supermarkets, Millionaire and Billionaire by Wild Beer Company are both excellent (Billionaire is 10% ABV mind) and if you can find it Caramel Fudge Stout by Brouwerij Kees (via a specialist beer shop) is brilliant.

I'm in a good position that one of my mates works in an Off licence who like to stock their crafts, usually if I find something nice I'll mind to him and they get in a few to test out.Bodacious Benny wrote:Had the Northern Monk Ice Cream Pale Ale last night! Yeah I've got a really good bottle shop 10 mins from me, got hundreds of different beers of all varieties. It's brilliant.Lassassinblanc wrote:I'm in a good position that one of my mates works in an Off licence who like to stock their crafts, usually if I find something nice I'll mind to him and they get in a few to test out.Bodacious Benny wrote:

Having a Wasteland Double IPA, it's not good. Tastes far too alcohol-y with excessive hop bitterness to try and mask it.

The internet seems to think Stone is amazing. Is it easy to get a hold of in bottles?Bodacious Benny wrote:I love a good double IPA but will give that a miss...skalpel wrote:Having a Wasteland Double IPA, it's not good. Tastes far too alcohol-y with excessive hop bitterness to try and mask it.
