After what can only be described as a poor week for Manchester City they now find themselves needing 2 wins to secure the title and are at Wembley this evening looking to clinch one of them against Spurs who, themselves, will be looking for a 7th successive victory to cement their place in The Champions League once again next season. Chelsea, now 10 points adrift of Champions League qualification are at Southampton, now with just one win in their last 18 games, and another defeat for The Saints would see them confirmed as one of the favourites for the drop and both sides could have one eye on next weeks FA Cup semi-final between the two sides. Should Southampton fail to win the FA Cup for the first time since 1976 then a place in The Europa League will go to the team finishing 7th in the league and currently Burnley occupy that lofty position and entertain 8th placed Leicester City and a 5th successive victory for The Clarets would see them move 9 points clear of The Foxes. Crystal Palace host Brighton in the M23 derby and with The Eagles only 3 points clear of 18th position a win over their fierce rivals is crucial whereas victory for The Seagulls would move them on to 38 points and virtual safety. Huddersfield without a win in 5 are at home to Watford who have taken just 1 point from the last 12 available and the home side will fancy their chances in this one as will Swansea City, equal on 32 points with The Terriers, as they take on an Everton side who look as if they are already on the beach! The tea-time game sees the Champions League semi-finalists take on AFC Bournemouth at Anfield with The Cherries now looking safe thanks to a number of recent last minute goals.
Sunday sees our heroes take on Arsenal and victory for The Toon should guarantee survival with 41 points with 5 games to play whilst in the days other game another defeat for the rock bottom Baggies could see them relegated at Old Trafford.
In The Championship the mackems, now only 6 points from safety after their midweek draw, are away to Reading one of the few teams they can now catch and failure to capture all 3 points could be disastrous for them should Bolton overcome Barnsley
As always thanks for reading and enjoy your weekend.

Not this weekend, but I've got a mate visiting next weekend and was going to go to wba v Liverpool, been on their website and they're not putting tickets on general sale

Barnsley v Bolton Wanderers key game today if it's a draw then the mackems have a chance, one wins then I think they're down.
Also Southampton winning.
Also Southampton winning.
Re: WEEKEND FOOTBALL - 13/16 APRIl 2018
I'd like to see Southampton stay up tbh... lose today and I can't see them doing it. Hopefully they can hold on to that lead.

I think they will, for me it's either Palace or Huddersfield plus Stoke and WBA.Chappy wrote:I'd like to see Southampton stay up tbh... lose today and I can't see them doing it. Hopefully they can hold on to that lead.

I'm with you, hope they stay up. And leading 2-0 looks more promising.Chappy wrote:I'd like to see Southampton stay up tbh... lose today and I can't see them doing it. Hopefully they can hold on to that lead.

Now 2-2
Might revise my prediction, if it stays 2-2 this has got to be a huge confidence blow to a already fragile team if they lose then
