Facundo Ferreyra getting a big money contract at Benfica. Fair play to him, maybe given a bit more time he might have settled here or maybe he's just one of those never suited to the PL. Either way he's done well for himself.

Fredericks has signed for West Ham on a free, in a smaller transfer Fred is closing in on a move to Man U.

Shaquiri linked with Liverpool has a 12m release clause due to relegation.
I know he has his moments but for 12m we should be looking at him. I'd imagine he'd get more first team football on Tyneside than Merseyside

I'll Hazard a guess

I can't stand his attitude but at that price it would be tempting. We don't have the luxury to carry a player like that though. He'd fit in well at Liverpool and would likely prefer to go there regardless. They'll offer more money you'd think, and have champions league football. He obviously wouldn't start for them week in week out, but I could still see him getting a fair amount of games.

Somehow we had the luxury of carrying attacking players that don't score this season, seems he'd add something over thatCrazy Ibrahimovic Hotdog wrote: ↑Wed Jun 06, 2018 9:01 pmI can't stand his attitude but at that price it would be tempting. I kid though, I don't want him, but I do think we can be too quick to call players like him a luxury when the ones we have in those positions aren't contributing enough.

Anyone who went to Stoke away on New Year's Day will be able to tell you that he was a disgrace. His team were fighting for their life and he plodded about the pitch putting in zero effort. He was subbed after about an hour and was booed off by his own fans, rightly so. One of the worst displays I've ever seen. Yes he scores some stunners, but not sure I want someone like that. Of course there's always the argument that Rafa may get the best out of him, but I can't see him doing the things that Rafa would want him to do.

And that's why I'm saying I don't want him, he's infuriating, but I'm less inclined to throw around the term "luxury player" in general, because I just don't think attacking players are as big a liability as midfielders and defenders have the potential to be, and a forward that manages to produce every few games but doesn't offer much in the games in between can in some circumstances offer value when the alternative are attacking players that rarely ever produce anything. Obviously it's more annoying when you see a player with potential who is capable of being great but then has just as many terrible performances, because you want them to show that class all the time.Blještav Benny wrote: ↑Thu Jun 07, 2018 12:53 pmAnyone who went to Stoke away on New Year's Day will be able to tell you that he was a disgrace. I heard he failed a medical, something to do with his ACL op (though you might have just been going for the pun)

Josh Murphy on his way to Cardiff for £11m, will be interesting to see how he does.

I'd say he'll get more game time Jacob that's for sure but like you said will be interesting to see how he does.Blještav Benny wrote: ↑Mon Jun 11, 2018 10:44 amJosh Murphy on his way to Cardiff for £11m, will be interesting to see how he does.

I do find it funny how people on social media are calling this a transfer flop - Liverpool assess a guy, find his knees are made out of brie and attempt to negiotiate a lower price, Lyon disagrees, liverpool doesn't pursue.Van Beatski wrote: ↑Sun Jun 10, 2018 5:16 pmI heard he failed a medical, something to do with his ACL op (though you might have just been going for the pun)
Liverpool have the cash, but they're not willing to risk that sort of money on a massive injury risk. Already got a sturridge and Ings on their books.

They turned down Remy because of something in the medical as well. Although that was for much less money. He went to Chelsea and did alright. Funny if same happens with this Fekir
