I'd rather play the top teams early anyway.

By my reckoning we'll have 12 points after the first 5 games.

We will lose to Cardiff.

Spurs and Chelski don't have amazing records at SJP, some hope there, maybe. 5 points from that lot, anything else is a massive bonus.

Suspect Liverpool will sell out to ST holders.

Tough start but mid/late September through to Boxing day looks alright. Man U are the only 'big' team that we play during that time.

I think thats a good start personally, the big teams players coming back from the WC and none of the teams will be firing at 100% that early either. so id rather these games out the way now rather that when we are in the thick of it and they in top gear.

And because we play them early our fixtures look easier towards the end of the season, should be we find ourselves in any bother.

<ok>

Arsenal don't have that many players at the world cup this year, but yes. Definitely happier to play them early.

The problem is that with the bad start it could shatter our confidence for quite a while through the season. Let’s hope that isn’t the case though.

Is it too early to start the "Line-up v Spurs" thread?

Dammit. Away at Man U the weekend I'm visiting Newcastle this fall. Might just have to try and get tickets for Man City at Liverpool assuming it gets moved to Sunday the day I'm there.

Probably not, we’ve already made our summer signing.
