Already needed more quality in CM, particularly CAM, and that's even more true now.

I'm working on the assumption that Rafa has his plans drawn up and activity is progressing behind the scenes.
We did very well the second half of last season and he hardly featured tbf.

Best of luck to the lad. As said before if he wasn't happy then you couldn't force him to stay. Hopefully now the €10 is reinvested into a number 10 or striker
I'll Hazard a guess

Re: NUFC Minor/Untrusted Transfer Rumours (Summer 2018)
The more i hear about the situation the more I'm not really bothered about him going, Rafa basically said he wanted first team football, so when considering his injury then how s*** hot Diame and Shelvey were he didn't exactly get harshly treated, maybe could have had more sub appearances but even then its all dependent on the game and how it plays out, i get the impression he didn't really want to fight for his spot and maybe that attitude kept him from the squad on occasions. end of the day he spent 6 months out the squad and part of the was due to injury so its not exactly a huge hindrance to his career.

It's true, but we were one injury to either Shelvey or Diame away from being in a world of trouble during that spell. Ki provides some depth there, but I'm still worried, especially because I think there are still questions about whether they can maintain that form, especially Diame given his age.Blještav Benny wrote: ↑Thu Jul 12, 2018 2:08 pmI'm working on the assumption that Rafa has his plans drawn up and activity is progressing behind the scenes.

Twitter rumours (so probably s***) that Rafa wants to bring Gini back from Liverpool.
With him and Townsend Rafa really is trying to get the band back together. Hope he doesn't show an interest in Sissoko
Can't see us spending £25m+ on Gini.

I’d be very surprised if Wijnaldum was willing to come back here.Blještav Benny wrote: ↑Thu Jul 12, 2018 3:34 pmTwitter rumours (so probably s***) that Rafa wants to bring Gini back from Liverpool.

I’d also be pretty underwhelmed by the signing. He’s certainly not that great. If we are talking old players I’d rather Townsend.

Jack Colback is in talks with Nottingham Forest with the midfielder edging closer to the exit door at Newcastle United.

I doubt we would they owe us quite a chunk of the £30m they bought him for. It's the 90k a week wages that'll be the problem.Blještav Benny wrote: ↑Thu Jul 12, 2018 3:34 pmTwitter rumours (so probably s***) that Rafa wants to bring Gini back from Liverpool.

He won't coming. And tbh I don't want him here. I didn't want him to leave at first place because I though that his problem was inept manager like McClaren... But since he play s*** for Liverpool... Nah.

He's been starting in CM for the Champions League finalist. If that's playing like s***...

Thought as much.
Suppose if he's not in Rafa's plans, as it seemed by his playing time, then there is no point keeping him on the books so long as we invest the money.

With Merino gone, Colback soon to be gone, Mbemba likely to be off to Porto soon and Mitro to Fulham I think we'll see a lot of transfer activity in the next week or two.
That will free up around £40k (Colback), £30k (Mbemba), £20k (Merino) and probably around £40k a week for Mitro, that's a wage saving of around £130,000 per week. Add to that the £10m we got for Merino, likely to get up to £8m for Mbemba and £20m for Mitro so that's £38m in transfer income. Obviously some of that may be staged payments and we may have to subsidise Colback to f*** off, but it should help get things moving in terms of further incoming transfers.

Don't forget the wages of Gamez and Haidara too that would add about 30k (albeit that may have been used up as part of Kenedy/Ki deals).Blještav Benny wrote: ↑Fri Jul 13, 2018 8:11 amWith Merino gone, Colback soon to be gone, Mbemba likely to be off to Porto soon and Mitro to Fulham I think we'll see a lot of transfer activity in the next week or two.

Also interest from Turkey for both Saivet and Sels so hopefully they'll be off the books soon too.
We're also prepared to listen to offers for Aarons who I think given his injury and off field history would be a good move for both parties.
I'll Hazard a guess

Re: NUFC Minor/Untrusted Transfer Rumours (Summer 2018)
Just heard another World Cup Transfer story
Milan Badeji from Croatia
This one will cost us nothing only issue would be convincing him to leave Italy as he previously stated he'd like to remain there as he has a young family, AC Milan are interested and would prob be favorites but we do have an interest in him
