I’m interested to see how he does. I’m not actually his biggest fan and don’t think he’s the target man everyone thinks he is but time will definitely tell. I’m sure they’ll be a constant comparison between his and Rondon’s stats throughout the season too.

Don't know how to feel about this Rondon link. As much as I trust Rafa, is this going to be a Kenedy/Dubravka positive impact or a Lazaar/Sels waste of time. Not overly excited by Rondon but maybe thats the kind of players we need instead of the old big name big fee cant back it up type we used to sign

I get that he doesn't fancy Mitro whatsoever but I would've thought we could've gone after someone a bit more prolific, Danny Ings would be a good addition possibly on loan with future price agreed. Muto I wouldn;t think is a starter for us, Sturridge would be interesting but don;t know if he can ever stay fit long enough. Origi was a nice link, thought he would fit us nicely with perez in behind but doesn't look like thats going anywhere.

Just hope like everyone else that we don't end up like last year having chances created and no one to put them away

You seem to have a very focused scouting network In all seriousness, I'm not personally sure any of those would be the answer. Danny Ings' injury issues are almost as bad as Sturridges, and I just don't think Origi is that good. Plus have you seen the outrageous fees Liverpool are supposedly demanding for those players? Absurd and we wouldn't pay it.

I'd take a punt on Ings for £10m, but £20m is taking the piss.

Yeah given his injury history, 20m is a bit much for Ings drop that by about 6-10m and it'd be tempting.

I myself like Rondon for reasons I've given many times he fits Rafa's style more then Mitro

Rondon is okay but it’s slightly worrying that our main striker next year will be the striker of the worst team in the league last year. That alone obviously doesn’t paint the full picture but it’s a bit of a red flag for me, given he’s not recognised as being a stand out player
