given the lenght of time left in the window and how it feels like we drag out the important signings, I think Donron will be the last bt of businessDonkey Toon wrote: ↑Sat Aug 04, 2018 5:40 pmI'm not too bothered by that, so long as we have an option to buy in case he turns out to be worth buying.Don Sholeone wrote: ↑Sat Aug 04, 2018 5:04 pmSo apparently it's going to be a loan swap with Gayle

Plus leaves more money for other players we need this window.

Inevitably people will joke that a loan suits best because WBA get Gayle while they need him scoring championship goals and NUFC get him back when they will need him to do the same againPlate of Barszcz for me wrote: ↑Sun Aug 05, 2018 8:46 amgiven the lenght of time left in the window and how it feels like we drag out the important signings, I think Donron will be the last bt of businessDonkey Toon wrote: ↑Sat Aug 04, 2018 5:40 pm

Re: Salomon Rondon to sign this weekend?
I don't disagree on Joselu, but Rafa signed him and opted to play him last season over Mitrovic. I'm not really seeing where this "Muto isn't a striker" is coming from either, or the idea of playing a near six footer as the little man to Rondon's big man...Aldridge Perez wrote: ↑Sat Aug 04, 2018 5:07 pmMuto and Perez aren't strikers. If Rondon gets injured we're left with Joselu which is unacceptable imo.
I'd love to see another (better) striker come in, but I really can't see it happening.

This!! Lol, loads of people seem to be reclassifying Muto, I don't get it, I don't think he's ever played significant time as a secondary striker or no.10 in his whole career. AtMaonz he was the sole striker IIRCColly wrote: ↑Sun Aug 05, 2018 11:11 amI don't disagree on Joselu, but Rafa signed him and opted to play him last season over Mitrovic. I'll pile on with this two. Seems as if every time we're unimpressed by a player's goal scoring record people justify it by suggesting they're actually a winger or attacking midfielder...even though they never played in those positions - but simply don't score all that much.Don Sholeone wrote: ↑Sun Aug 05, 2018 11:20 amThis!! Re: Salomon Rondon to sign this weekend?
To be fair his record is about 1 in 3 at Mainz which isn't too bad. I can't even pretend to know much about him, but a cursory glance at last season shows he wore number 9 and often played ahead of a number 10...

I rang the Samaritans in a rather distressed state about the way the club is being run. After half an hour of listening to me the Samaritan hung himself.Don Sholeone wrote: ↑Sat Aug 04, 2018 5:04 pmSo apparently it's going to be a loan swap with Gayle

Sky are confirming Gayle as signed for WBA but no word on Rondon.
