WEEKEND FOOTBALL - 31 AUGUST/2 SEPTEMBER 2018
Morning all,
A bit late but apparently the weekend started last night!
31 AUGUST 2018
THE CHAMPIONSHIP
19:45 Leeds United 0-0 Middlesbrough Sky

THE PREMIER LEAGUE
12:30 Leicester City 1-2 Liverpool Sky
15:00 Brighton & Hove Albion 2-2 Fulham
15:00 Chelsea 2-0 AFC Bournemouth
15:00 Crystal Palace 0-2 Southampton
15:00 Everton 1-1 Huddersfield Town
15:00 West Ham United 0-1 Wolverhampton Wanderers
17:30 Manchester City 2-1 NEWCASTLE UNITED BT
THE CHAMPIONSHIP
15:00 Birmingham City 0-0 Queens Park Rangers
15:00 Brentford 2-1 Nottingham Forest
15:00 Hull City 1-2 Derby County
15:00 Preston North End 2-2 Bolton Wanderers
15:00 Reading 1-2 Sheffield Wednesday
15:00 Sheffield United 4-1 Aston Villa
15:00 West Bromwich Albion 2-1 Stoke City
15:00 Wigan Athletic 1-0 Rotherham United
17:30 Millwall 1-2 Swansea City Sky
LEAGUE 1
15:00 mackems 1-1 Oxford United
2 SEPTEMBER 2018
THE PREMIER LEAGUE
13:30 Cardiff City 2 -3 Arsenal Sky
16:00 Burnley 0-2 Manchester United
16:00 Watford 2-1 Tottenham Hotspur Sky
THE CHAMPIONSHIP
12:00 Ipswich Town 1-1 Norwich City Sky
13:30 Bristol City 4-1 Blackburn Rovers
The lunchtime game sees table-toppers Liverpool, still to concede a goal, visit the King Power Stadium as they bid to extend their winning start to 4 games and build a 3 point cushion at the top before the afternoon kick-offs. In the 3 o'clock games Brighton host Fulham for whom Aleksandar Mitrovic has now scored 3 goals in 3 games - what would you give for a striker with that record? - whilst Chelsea, lucky winners last time out, are at home to AFC Bournemouth in the biggest game of the day. Southampton, sitting just above the bottom 3, travel to Selhurst Park with the hosts now without a win since the opening day of the season, Huddersfield Town, now with the worst goal difference in the league, - how important could that be come May? - are at Everton and pointless and rock bottom West Ham United play hosts to Wolverhampton Wanderers who picked up a very creditable point against Manchester City last weekend. Speaking of Manchester City, The Toon are the visitors to The Etihad Stadium for the teatime game and are looking for a first win of the season and that particular game is covered in greater detail elsewhere.
Sunday sees Cardiff City who are still to register their first goal of the season, even Joselu has outscored them, at home to Arsenal who themselves move into the top half of the league with their win last weekend. The biggest game of the weekend sees second placed Spurs away to Watford, sitting pretty in the last Champions League place, with both teams hoping to continue their impressive 100% winning starts to the season. The final game takes place at Turf Moor and, after the disappointment of their failure in the Europa League, can Burnley pick themselves up and pile more misery on Jose Mourinho and his under performing side?
As always thanks for reading and enjoy your weekend.

The Palace game and that game are matches that Liverpool would have dropped points last season, maybe they will have a genuine run at the title this year.

In true Mitro fashion, he just slapped their keeper Bettinelli in the face to celebrate him saving a PK

Mitro scored again. Good thing we got rid of him though. Would hate to actually win a game for once....

Re: WEEKEND FOOTBALL - 31 AUGUST/2 SEPTEMBER 2018
Even if we were gonna replace him, I thought it would be a fairly big task in today’s market to get someone with his ability for £20m
