Match thread - NUFC v Watford
Watford (h)
This afternoon sees the Hornets visit Tyneside for a 3pm kick-off at Gallowgate.
Tickets remain on public sale, with the visitors selling around 1,600.
While Newcastle are winless in all 11 outings this season to date, Watford are bidding for their sixth consecutive league and cup victory over the Magpies.
Our most recent success against them was the 2-1 win at Vicarage Road in the Championship in 2010, achieved by goals from Fabricio Coloccini and Andy Carroll.
It's worth pointing out we wore white socks that day...
NUFC: To follow. Florian Lejeune, Ciaran Clark and Jamie Sterry are unavailable.

WFC: Former Magpie Daryl Janmaat is sidelined with a knee injury and Troy Deeney is doubtful. Nathaniel Chalobah is set to be available for this game.
Javier Gracia's side head to Gallowgate seeking their third successive PL victory, following a 2-0 win at Wolves and a 3-0 home beating of Huddersfield Town.

Referee: Craig Pawson - second outing this season for the South Yorkshire whistler following the 0-0 draw at Cardiff when he awarded us a penalty and red-carded Isaac Hayden. Pawson's last visit to SJP was for a 1-0 victory over Manchester United back in February.

Can't wait for this
Might stick a tenner on Watford to win, that way it's win win. If we lose I get some money back, if I lose my bet then we get points.

I have no logical reason behind my thoughts on this, but I actually think we will win today. I'm going for a 2-1 victory.

I'd take a 3-2 win with Pereyra scoring both their goals (for my fantasy team...)

Re: Match thread - NUFC v Watford
I jokingly suggested this morning that my mate should put Perez into his PL draft team as he's a guaranteed 2 points a week. He did. Whoops.

Somewhere between the turnstile and my seat my protest flyer fell out of my pocket. I'm not good at this.

That would mean changing formation so it's hugely unlikely.

The problem with Shelvey in games like this, is defensively he is basically half a player. We are being completely overrun in the middleBodacious Benny wrote: ↑Sat Nov 03, 2018 3:37 pmThat would mean changing formation so it's hugely unlikely.
