Youth products at any club will always get a little more time to settle and develop I think. Longstaff is far from the finished article, but after being dragooned in for a relegation battle, he's stepped up. I'd say it'd be harsh to drop him once everyone is fit based on recent performances.

Amazing. Truly amazing. How can anyone explain what's going on today?

Watch us go on and beat spurs then lose at home against the likes of Huddersfield and Burnley. What a roller coaster of a club this is. Never boring that's for sure. Rondon at it again. What a striker. Him and Longstaff were the stand outs for me even though the whole team put there life and soul into this. Just surreal. What a result. What an night. <love> <diva> <applause> <cheers> <cheers> <cheers>

but what about that ref decision for the disallowed goal? even though it was obvious why it was disallowed, wasnt it controversial?

Not really. You either take it quickly or you wait for the ref to come over and start marking positions etc. You can't have it both ways when the refs told you to stop, the ball's dead and you wait for the whistle.

I think the only controversial thing was the decision to give him a yellow card. Referees discretion and all that though. I personally thought it was a bit harsh.

I enjoyed the moment the post-match interviewer realised that it was such a non-incident that Pep couldn’t even remember it. Made him rightfully look ridiculous. Thought booking him was harsh but since when were harsh bookings discussed after games as major incidents? <laugh>

The bookings obviously a discussion point in a game where he was substituted immediately after he could've been sent off.

Just seen the highlights. Atsu did his best to defend against Rondon's goal, sadly he's just not good enough.

If you say so. I’ve literally never seen a harsh yellow be discussed after a game ever. Guardiola didn’t even seem to register the fact he’d been booked in the interview and had to be filled in from somebody off camera

God I can't believe how much they're going on about that free kick. Why wasn't Ritchie allowed to take the penalty quickly? BECAUSE THE BALL IS f***ing DEAD.

Sorry I meant just the incident in general could be discussed by the pundits, I didn't realise they'd specifically raised the first yellow with Pep which does seem silly. Slowly catching up with the TV coverage.

Pep didn't even see it! f*** off BT!

Imagine being Pep Guardiola and having to come out and say that your midfield of David Silva, De Bruyne and Fernandinho couldn't deal with Issac Hayden and Sean Longstaff <laugh>!

Just re-watched and he starts by talking about the disallowed goal before mentioning the booking so yeah it’s the overall incident. Still funny how Guardiola doesn’t have a clue what he’s on about due, it seems, to it being so trivial!

I thought the ref was excellent. KDB could have been sent off yes, but if so then Perez could have gone three minutes later

What would Perez have been sent off for? Fouling De Bruyne down the tunnel? Bottle job that he "evened up" isn't excellent refereeing.

I actually think KDB not being sent off is what fired up the players.

If De Bruyne had been rightly sent off.. the Perez incident wouldn't have existed.
