Re: Blackpool boss explains why Elias Sorensen's loan move went wrong
Saw this earlier, it comes across like hes scrambling for an excuse. What does he expect us to do if he takes a young player whos playing the best football of his career so far and then just completely stifles his development by refusing to even pick him for the squad. Hes even saying he hopes other loan signings (who also don't get a sniff) don't go the same way, seems like a complete time waster.

Doesn’t seem like much to me. Obviously it hasn’t worked out because he hasn’t done enough or hasn’t fit their system as much as expected. Doesn’t mean he can’t go on to do well - just gonna have to wait and see

Re: Blackpool boss explains why Elias Sorensen's loan move went wrong
I went on the Blackpool fc forum when he'd signed for them on loan. The consensus was that they were excited because he was banging them in for the under 23s for us. But that they weren't optimistic that he would be played due to past loan signings. Think the Blackpool manager is set in his ways somewhat. Can imagine there was a deal agreed but it wasn't the Blackpool manager's decision to loan him in.

Reading some comments from the past few weeks a lot of them were baffled he didn't get any games as their forwards had been shocking.

It is a bit strange seen as Longstaff got so much out of his loan there last season.
I'm the scumbag outlaw. You're the pillar of justice. Neither of us like looking at ourselves in the mirror. Do we have a deal?

It happens, don't forget what we did (or didn't do) with Giuseppe Rossi.

Stick him in the women's league thenBlue & Maroon wrote: ↑Fri Mar 15, 2019 6:11 pmPretty sure that was because of foreign player rules.
He's probably just not good enough for men's football in League 1 yet.

"he wasn't good enough to play"
"NUFC loaned him to you because you thought he was good enough to play, and they want him to get gametime to improve. You didn't play him"
"Yeah but it's Newcastle fault it didn't work out"

I think more than anything it shows they haven't managed their squad well with respect to domestic player balance, and don't have a good relationship between the front office and manager.Blue & Maroon wrote: ↑Fri Mar 15, 2019 6:11 pmPretty sure that was because of foreign player rules.
