Take the cat with you to Skegness and leave it there while you bugger off abroad.
If it really does like you, it'll find it's own way home.

Smith and Wollensky in New York, they’ve got a posh restaurant but we went to their bar next door where they do steaks, burgers etc. Well worth a visit, go early tho as it gets busy after work so not ideal with a baby.Colback's Orange Tufts wrote: ↑Mon Apr 15, 2019 6:05 pmAny recommendations for food/sights with a young baby on Abu Dhabi or New York?

Freedom Tower is impressive, Staten Island ferry is essentially a free boat ride with good views of manhattan so worth jumping on that. Central Park is a must especially if you’ve got the baby, natural history museum is right next to it too.

Potentially looking at Malta - anyone been and if so what areas are best to look at staying in?

Aside from Valetta which is a must see; go spend a day in Mdina which is the old capital city.
Gozo is nice and you can catch a ferry out to it.

Silema has a few decent hotels and a ferry connection to Valletta which is one of the most beautiful cities in the world.
St Julians is a bit further (like 5 mins walk) along the coast from Silema, more hotels there and it's 'beaches' are facing out into the Med rather than into the harbour.

Doing the summer family friendly holiday in Santa Eulalia, Ibiza. Beautiful island, lovely quiet side. Enough going on , a solid year round town as opposed to a tourist seasonal resort.
Wee cheeky golf week in Spain wi the lads soon so sadly yesterday was my last home game.
Gonna miss The Scouse title derailment at SJP on the 5th. Gutted. But kinda happy......

Re: Holidays
Spent a few days in Artà in Mallorca last week, really nice little town. Lots of good restaurants, really picturesque and relaxing. Only heard a couple of other Brits there, everyone else seemed to be a Swiss and German so it wasn’t full of Brits abroad out to get s*** faced all day.

There are still plenty of hidden gems in Ibiza, Mallorca etc it's nice to be able to enjoy beautiful islands with a 'bad' reputation away from the crowds.Bodacious Benny wrote: ↑Mon Apr 29, 2019 9:04 amSpent a few days in Artà in Mallorca last week, really nice little town. Yeah, didn’t encounter any of the Brits Abroad crowd until I got to the airport. Was bliss.

Re: Holidays
Has anyone ever bought pre-paid SIM cards for the USA? I'm going to Florida in July and want to use my phone as Sat Nav but probably cheaper to get a US SIM rather than pay my roaming charges.

I use one as my main phone. So much cheaper than going with the big companies.Bodacious Benny wrote: ↑Wed May 08, 2019 11:12 amHas anyone ever bought pre-paid SIM cards for the USA? Look into Simple Mobile, they have a number of cheap plans, and run off T-Mobile's infrastructure, which has great coverage in Florida, apart from the everglades.
Just make sure your phone is unlocked
