Moses would be a solid addition.

I've heard he's pretty good at parting defense(a)s.

Moses is a great shout, provided we're sticking with 3 at the back

Just seen Timothy Weah has been transfer listed by PSG after his loan deal was cut short by Celtic after he refused to drop out of the first game of the U20 World Cup to play in the Scottish Cup Final.
Despite that little misdemeanour he is still a good young talent only 19 capable on the wing or up front, depending on the fee PSG would be looking for he'd be someone who I think we should take an interest in.

I'll Hazard a guess

And is that even a misdemeanour? Choosing loyalty representing your country over a club you're on loan to doesn't even seem unreasonable. I think either choice is defensible.lassassinblanc wrote: ↑Mon May 13, 2019 1:47 pmJust seen Timothy Weah has been transfer listed by PSG after his loan deal was cut short by Celtic after he refused to drop out of the first game of the U20 World Cup to play in the Scottish Cup Final.

Is Daddy Weah still president of Liberia? Maybe he can split his time and be an attacking coach if we sign Timmylassassinblanc wrote: ↑Mon May 13, 2019 1:47 pmJust seen Timothy Weah has been transfer listed by PSG after his loan deal was cut short by Celtic after he refused to drop out of the first game of the U20 World Cup to play in the Scottish Cup Final.

On a serious note, it's a signing that had promise. From the relatively little I know of him he'd be more of a Perez signing than a full fledge starting centre forward. Well, what Perez was signed as I mean. Not quite there yet. The name alone probably adds a few million tho.

3 in 13 for Celtic suggests he is a million miles from being ready for the PL.

Oh I agree it's stupid, Country before club for me, I think Lennon is just pissed off he'd rather play in an U20 World Cup over a mickey mouse cupRemember Colo wrote: ↑Mon May 13, 2019 6:12 pmAnd is that even a misdemeanour? I’d also say that If he’s only on the Celtic bench he can’t be that good yet! Other than his name there’s not much appealing about him tbh.lassassinblanc wrote: ↑Mon May 13, 2019 6:51 pmMost of that was off the bench though afaikBodacious Benny wrote: ↑Mon May 13, 2019 6:47 pm3 in 13 for Celtic suggests he is a million miles from being ready for the PL.

I'd still say depending on the price he'd be worth the investmentBodacious Benny wrote: ↑Mon May 13, 2019 6:53 pmI’d also say that If he’s only on the Celtic bench he can’t be that good yet! Other than his name there’s not much appealing about him tbh.

Re: NUFC Minor/Untrusted Transfer Rumours (Summer 2019)
The Celtic minded up here are starting to believe Rafa is heading to Park Head................baffling to me , but nonetheless the growing belief that Peter Lawell and Dermott Desmond are in Rafa's ear about fronting up Celtic versus the Stevie G mob in a head to head over the next two critical years for Celtic.......well its intriguing. Also there's guaranteed bounce games in Europe ! Hopefully a lot of fanciful pish, but you never say never. Possibly Rafa is sickened of working with Ashley, does he genuinely think in his own mind that he's off and is placating the Toon fans with platitudes meantime ?
Meantime in the real world surely Ashley can see that retaining Rafa is pivotal............or is the guy seriously just an insane wrecking ball ?
Personally I'm 50/50 on whether Rafa stays
Get this sorted, I want to enjoy the summer.

No disrespect to Celtic but I'd be genuinely shocked if he went there, if he leaves us it will be for a much better club than Celtic, ATM PSG would probably the most attractive destination for him, think they are right up his street, that said I'm pretty convinced he's staying here.

I don't think they can compete in terms of his wages. We are skinflints in this league hut still way above highest in Scotland.
It's an interesting mentality to take celtic job. So dominant domestically the only material change is disappointment. On the upside you can do what they did a few years ago (lennon?) and have a good champions league run with a few scalps (barca). Is that enough to aim for?
I mean at nufc you are hampered by Ashley but you can outperform in the league and if you managed to do well in a cup (not even win it) would be huge

Re: NUFC Minor/Untrusted Transfer Rumours (Summer 2019)
Tend to agree, I would hope Rafa sees developing NUFC as more attractive than the shooting fish in a barrel league. That said it is a massive club. Probably Bilic or the recently departed Hughton are more likely. The Celtic fans are bigging up the prospect of Rafa, but tbh he’s too good for Celtic and the Toon adoration and passion would outweigh anything the Celtic could offer. The recent Rogers departure serves to demonstrate that the Scottish game at top level of management is a back water, The premiership prestige draws the focus and commands the funding.

Houghton to Celtic would be a decent appointment. I just want some news about Rafa so we can all get excited by the players we'll fail to agree terms with. The uncertainty is a ballache.

Ray Houghton has no managerial experience, even with the (small c) celtic connection I doubt they'd appoint him to something so high profile.

Cal Roberts has announced he's leaving NUFC, not been sold so presumably just let go. Shame, he managed to bag a goal for us in the FA cup!
