Bournemouth have agreed a deal rising to 15m for Huddersfield's Danish midfielder Phillip Billing. Seemed to be one of their better players last season, which may not be saying much. It looks like Hayden is staying now fortunately, but this fella would've been a decent replacement I think. Good signing for them.
Won't Hayden go anyway cos of family stuff. I mean he's professional but they did say he could leave.
Some chatter about that he’s happy to stay now. I do remember previously him loving Bruce from their time at Hull, so that might be something to do with it.

Real Madrid have, apparently, cancelled Bales' move to China.

Saves them over £50m over 3 years in wages alone.

Wolves have signed Patrick Cutrone for 16m from Milan. Could be a right bargain that.

I couldn't think of a sensible thread to put it in, but this pic is too amusing not to share. He's done a Ben Arfa.

Looking at the signings that Norwich have brought in to bolster the squad is confusing.

Officially disclosed figures bring the summer outlay to about £1.5 million.

Lukaku for Dybala is fascinating. Manchester United's record with South Americans is utterly woeful...see it for yourself:

I predict a car crash. Dybala only got 5 goals in the league last season, playing for the biggest team in a division where the game's playing styles are wholly different. Lukaku has scored 15+ league goals in the premier league 5 times...

The three previous seasons he had over 50 goals and 50 assists, sometimes things go stale in any environment or job and football is no different. I agree that they don’t have a good record with South American’s at Man U but Dybala is still class and IMO too good for Man U at this moment in time.

Man U want to play a quick counter attack under Ole and Martial / Rashford / Dybala front three could do some damage. Lukaku doesn’t fit the style they’re going towards.

I'd add, I don't know what old failed transfers and players under different coaches and ownership have to do with the likelihood of a South American player succeeding there today. Plus, Dybala's role at Juventus changed a lot with Ronaldo arriving as the focus of attack. Who knows if he'll pan out or not, but Lukaku's time there was certainly done.

Heaton and Pope are similar level, Heaton is worth more money... makes sense to me. They can invest that money elsewhere where they have issues.

Pope is a lot younger too, has at least 5 years on Heaton.

Maybe they just want to be relegated so are backing Hart again ;)

Even in today’s totally overinflated market that counts as a ripoff <laugh>
