To the broader discussion about younger players without too much production to date. It's interesting how a player in their early 20s who has only ever been loaned out or play in the academy sides can still be viewed a prospect and their record is ignored, but players of the same age who have been developing in a senior side and aren't yet banging in loads of goals are judged as a finished product (this isn't an observation of people on here, but just football fans at large). I'd really hope our young big signings still have room to improve, and I'm actually excited to see how these news lads get on this season.

I’m excited to see how Almiron/Joelinton/ASM gel. If it clicks then we could get some excitement, but we need to give it time. I’m sure we’ll have frustrating spells but I think there is real potential there. Plus Longstaff in midfield (he’ll add goals to his game with experience), some decent defenders and a decent keeper and things aren’t looking too bad for me.

I mean, Hart was the first choice England national team keeper for years...that was always more damning for the managers than his backups. Doesn't mean Krafth will be good though, but I don't always read too much into national team selection.
