Reading's been oddly aggressive in the transfer market this summerBodacious Benny wrote: ↑Thu Aug 08, 2019 1:50 pmI know he was rubbish last season but a lower end Championship loan surprises me. He's had a decent pre-season too. Maybe there were no other takers.

The Charlie Adam move surprised me as he's been rubbish for ages now, no idea how he's still playing at that level!Remember Colo wrote: ↑Thu Aug 08, 2019 1:54 pmReading's been oddly aggressive in the transfer market this summerBodacious Benny wrote: ↑Thu Aug 08, 2019 1:50 pm

Sessegnon to Spurs completed. £25M. Good deal or not? Wasn't great last season but I'd expect Poch to get the best out of him, may even play on the right as they haven't replaced Trippier.
And in conclusion, how far had you got through reading this before you realised it was my signature?

He'll do well with better players around him. Was given too much defensive responsibility last year which hamstrung him.

Yeah good deal in today's climate I think. He'll get more freedom in the Spurs team and Spurs can develop young players. He's still only 19 too, heaps of potential in the right environment.

They've still got Aurier and Walker-Peters, I can't see him playing right back.
Re: Other Clubs Transfer Deals (Summer 2019)
Forgot about Walker-Peters, yeah you're probably right.

Pretty petty and gutless of Chelsea fans tanking Willian and Luiz's London restaurant with terrible reviews after he left for Arsenal. I'd like to think it won't impact the business, but google and tripadvisor scores definitely influence tourists and casual people.

On Wednesday Stoke City terminated Saido Berahino’s contract, which still had three years left to run.
After listening to this interview with Glen Johnson it's a wonder they didn't do it before then, they did try and sack him after a drink driving charge and testing positive for drugs only to be told by lawyers it wasn't an option.
What a horrible little f*** he sounds like and i can't see there being many takers for him either.

Carson to Man C is one of those weird goalkeeper transfers, he’ll obviously never play for them.

Fans constantly fail to remember being a footballer is a job. A great job, but a job. But so many can't possibly view it from the opposite side of the equation.Blue & Maroon wrote: ↑Thu Aug 08, 2019 9:01 pmFootball fans are cunts. Celtic fans giving Tiernay (sp?) Yeah, definitely. I understand why the top clubs just pass back-up keepers through, with one enjoying a trophy and a good paycheque, and then wants back to playing somewhere. Rinse. Repeat. But Carson of all old keepers is especially strange.Bodacious Benny wrote: ↑Fri Aug 09, 2019 8:16 amCarson to Man C is one of those weird goalkeeper transfers, he’ll obviously never play for them.

Maybe for their British / homegrown quota as Delph left I guess?Remember Colo wrote: ↑Fri Aug 09, 2019 2:06 pmYeah, definitely. I definitely think that's why they target old British ones when they'll just be taking a comfy racing seat for the season. I imagine they also are looking for positive locker room/training pitch characters too.Bodacious Benny wrote: ↑Fri Aug 09, 2019 2:22 pmMaybe for their British / homegrown quota as Delph left I guess?Remember Colo wrote: ↑Fri Aug 09, 2019 2:06 pm
