Norwich were always going to concede s*** loads, even in the Championship they weren’t that good defensively.

It doesn't feel like a 4-0 game.
Norwich have looked good going forward and have caused Liverpool some problems but Liverpool have been ruthless in front of goal and are teaching Norwich a lesson

Yep they followed the "we'll score one more than you" philosophy. Problem is they won't score anywhere near enough and they look like they will concede shed loads.Bodacious Benny wrote: ↑Fri Aug 09, 2019 7:36 pm

Frighteningly early for a prediction, but I can't see them staying up.

Never got why fans make an issue of this, everyone plays everyone. In their first 6 games they play 2 of last seasons top 6, I haven’t looked at other big teams fixtures but I imagine it’s similar for most.

Jamie Carragher was saying you want to see teams like Norwich taking the game to their opponents. This was when it was 2-0 after 25 minutes.

opening day of the season, media darlings liverpoo happen to get a dodgy newly promoted side to themselves, at home. cmooooonBodacious Benny wrote: ↑Fri Aug 09, 2019 7:58 pmSheffield Utd, Norwich and Brighton to go down.Donkey Toon wrote: ↑Fri Aug 09, 2019 7:45 pm

A few more results like this and their confidence will be shotDonkey Toon wrote: ↑Fri Aug 09, 2019 7:45 pmYep they followed the "we'll score one more than you" philosophy. I have no doubt in my mind that Norwich will come back and beat us after this result
Re: Weekend Football 9th - 11th August
4-1 the come back is real
Re: Weekend Football 9th - 11th August
Tbf Norwich caused some problems going forward... we have to punish them when we attack because we will concede

They should have scored in the first half too.

Re: Weekend Football 9th - 11th August
Thought Norwich looked decent going forward but looked pretty gash overall. Yeah they’re playing Liverpool but they’ve got a long season ahead. 4-0 at half-time is poor for any team wanting to survive

We've got a pretty decent defense these days in fairness. It's probably too early to say but Norwich for me is at the very least a must compete, if not a must win. We need to get points from those kind of fixtures. Personally reckon 3-1. Ritchie to open, Almiron to finally finish a chance, and Gayle off the bench. But let's not look past Arsenal haha.

Never good playing against a newly promoted team in their first home game, fans and players will be well up for it, especially as they will take some heart from the second half at Anfield. We need to score first.
