So Saint-Maximin and Almiron seem to be trying to out do each other.

We need to put more defenders on. Apparently they are gonna score more than our forwards....

Re: Match day thread - NUFC v Bournemouth
I'm glad Yedlin scored, but that should be the sort of position our strikers are finding themselves. Not our wing backs. We have three forwards who seem incapable of scoring.

Just start with a flat back 10 in the next game and watch us win 8-0.
There is no sin except stupidity.
Re: Match day thread - NUFC v Bournemouth
It is actually crazy how bad at finishing our front three are, the statistics would be depressing

Once our front three start scoring they’ll keep it going... that’s when they start. We can win this

Re: Match day thread - NUFC v Bournemouth
Composure, technique and confidence seem to be lacking in various degrees between the front three (ASM composure, Joelinton technique and Almiron confidence).
There is no sin except stupidity.
Re: Match day thread - NUFC v Bournemouth
Criticism of front 3 is fair - but worth saying in the last two games they’ve made 2 assists - Almiron has made 3 assists-to-assists. I’m keeping the faith
I had the first custom w***

That Wilson push is really bugging me, the other day they were saying Son got a red card because he put Gomes in danger, so why isn't the Wilson push a yellow, in a way it's worse than what happened with Son as Wilson has done that deliberately, officiating in this league is an absolute mess and somehow VAR has managed to make the game even more inconsistent, that's how inept refereeing has become in the PL.

Re: Match day thread - NUFC v Bournemouth
They have still been causing problems and working hard for the team, they just need that goal to hopefully kick start a good run and get the monkey off their back. It reminds me of the time Crouch was at liverpool and they became so obsessed with getting him to score it was almost counter productive.
There is no sin except stupidity.
Re: Match day thread - NUFC v Bournemouth
It's not surprising that they are involved in the goals. They are playing up front. If they would have scored one in three of their chances though I'm fairly certain we would be mid table.

Yes I'm pretty irritated with that too.Don Sholeone wrote: ↑Sat Nov 09, 2019 4:06 pmThat Wilson push is really bugging me, the other day they were saying Son got a red card because he put Gomes in danger, so why isn't the Wilson push a yellow, in a way it's worse than what happened with Son as Wilson has done that deliberately, officiating in this league is an absolute mess and somehow VAR has managed to make the game even more inconsistent, that's how inept refereeing has become in the PL.

Would be even better to have strikers and defenders though.
