I used to be a frequent user of the forum but stopped because of the reasons outlined above - too insular. New users weren't really welcomed and the community spirit of the place died after a while because it just seemed to be the same old in jokes. I still check this place during the transfer windows as it's good to see rumours etc and I fondly remember the Mafia game threads. A shame really as it didn't had something for a while.

People on Twitter (yes I know) are making a big thing over this, when it's fairly obvious he's going to be loaned out again given the squad is full. We were hardly going to keep him just for the FA Cup.

Yeah he's over 21 so presumably he'd need to be given an actual squad place - tho does that count for Cup games or is the named 25 man squad just for league fixtures?

25 man squad is just for league games, I just mean not loaning him out again so he can play likely 2 cup games then spend the rest of the season in the reserves is just daft.

I think that as we knew he'd be back in Jan (and given we usually field weak teams in the Cup) then potentially we should have put in a no-cup clause to his loan deal as there was always a chance we might choose to use him, it's not like Wycombe would have said no to the loan just because he couldn't play in the FA Cup.

But I agree, it's not a massive deal or some sort of failing on the clubs part.

Did well from all accounts, started slowly but from what they were saying on the forums they were pretty sad to see him go.
