Yep if they could **** off I'd be perfectly happy. If anyone boycotts in protest against Mike Ashley but signs back up for Saudi royalty they need to give their head a shake.
Couldn’t car less who owns the club as long as it’s run properly.
This.

I'm pretty sure that those who are boycotting / protesting against Ashley are doing so because of his running of the club not his moral compass.

If the Saudis buy the club and run it well then happy days. Anything else is about as relevant as how how Ashley runs his other businesses. None of our concern.

Practices rampant misogyny, throws gays from rooftops, executes people for witchcraft, classifies atheists as terrorists, is currently committing genocide in Yemen and yes murders people.

If they did buy and we had a pre-season tour there I hope the fans realise that female and atheist fans won't be able to attend, the first because women aren't allowed to and the second because it wouldn't be safe.

But hey they'll spend loads of money so who gives a s*** about moral standards.

I would be done with the club for as long as they were the owners.

If the Saudis want to buy a football club, they will buy a football club and there is nothing anyone can really do about it, the human rights abuses are not our problem, they are not a sporting problem it's a political and cultural problem. End of the day I support the club not the owners. With regards to Ashley yeah hes a lesser piece of s*** in comparison but honestly how many fans would be sat here complaining and protesting about him based only on his running of sports direct if he was investing silly amounts of money into the club? Nobody, because we are football supporters not political activists. So if people want to walk away then good for them but end of the day i personally don't lose sleep at night thinking about Saudi human rights issues now, so I'm not going to start just because they are potentially our next owners.

Whether you'd support a Saudi owned club or not, this will never happen so close the thread.

You know what's going to happen don't you. We'll finally get taken over by the Saudis, Rafa will return, there will be £500m to spend in June and this bloody virus will wipe everyone on the planet out. It is, after all, Newcastle United we're talking about.

I'm going to hold off my excitement until I see a new listing on companies house with a vague name hinting that it's a Newcastle United takeover vehicle
Pretty much what you linked above but for lazy fucks
Amanda Staveley has registered two new companies in January PZ Newco Ltd (code name Zebra) + Staveley also re-incorporated Cantervale Ltd this week, which had previously been linked to attempts to buy Newcastle.
report says the Rebuen Brothers are also involved.
time for you to get excited <ski>

Will women be allowed in without an escort?
Also if it did happen the Saudi's would compete with the Abu Dabi's and the other Gulf owned teams as they are rivals.

If the FA's Fit & Proper regs have any credibility at all then they would block the Saudi's anyway. After all if they can block an owner for a bad business record or dodgy dealings, then how could the allow people to own a football club when as leaders of a regime they forbid women from watching football … amongst the least of their numerous crimes, but the most relevant to football.

But then it is the FA so money would no doubt win out.

Didn't Massimo Celino (?) Pass the fit and proper for Leeds whilst facing tax evasion charges in Italy?

I'm not too caught up on the Celino case i'm afraid, but it wouldn't surprise me. Maybe they allowed it because case was not yet proven … innocent until proven and all that.

I'd also add that any NUFC fan that thinks the Saudi's taking over would end the endless cycle of media circus events surrounding the club is deluding themselves. Just imagine the s*** storm of negative media press the club would get from feminists and political activists if we were owned by the Saudi Royal Family. It would make the Ashley years look like a golden era of calm and tranquillity.

Ones financial that can directly threaten the existence of a club and ones cultural/political issues of a land far away. Again this is about football, not social justice. If people feel so strongly about it good for them, but I wont be letting it affect how I feel about the club I have supported my whole life.
