Clearly our fans constantly berating and moaning does hold us back <roll>

Huge win, hopefully we can build on this and get a win against Villa on Wednesday 🤞

I don't like the look of that grimace on ASM's face as he walked to the tunnel... Hopefully just exhausted
He seemed fine during the pre match interview. Maybe put it down to the lack of fans in the ground?

He is the type of player who gets loads of knocks to the ankles. He will be in pain after every match

Pretty much stopped trying to score with 10 mins to go, which I suppose is fair enough with the result safe and the fixture congestion, but I wanted to see us push for more goals as there was a couple of chances we just didn't bother pursuing

Great win that! We're pretty much safe now.

Always said that Joelinton fella looked a goalscorer <whistle>

Brilliant win, everybody was good except Danny Rose.

Great to see Joelinton score, hopefully that’ll help him relax a bit.

Slowed down a lot at the end, but that’s probably good in terms of not overworking the players, given the volume of games coming up. I reckon a win against Villa and we’re safe as houses.

Really not convinced at all by Rose so far. Definitely nothing more than a stop gap in that position.

This. I really the like the looks of Miggy roaming around in that no.10 position gives him more of the ball and he's dangerous when he's running down the middle. Special mentions to ASM for his usual dribbling, pace and goal, Ritchie for his fabulous strike and work-rate and Joelinton for looking decent in some periods strong, quick and scored which was due to his movement and build-up may that continue as he's only young and has time to develop his overall game more but I don't see him as a out and out striker in the long term more a no.10 or second striker were he can play of someone. Thought the midfield was solid with Shels and Hayden they work well in a two as they compliment each other (Hayden doing the dirty / defensive work and Shels providing the creativity/finesse). Rose either looks out of shape, not fully fit or he's simply past it looks slow, cumbersome and shaky. I'll love to get Jetro in on a permanent basis even if we get taken over or someone with pedigree like Theo Hernandez (AC Milan) or Kurzawa(PSG).

Good performance and it bonds well for the future. Howay the Lads! Beat Villa and we're definitely safe. <diva> <diva> <diva>

Did anyone know that Basham was released by Newcastle when he was 16?
Was about to post about this. I genuinely had no idea he was one of our youth players

I've tried watching a few games since lockdown and just couldn't get into them so was worried about getting into our games, in the end I kinda forgot there wasn't a crowd and became quite immersed still, so that was a relief

I’m struggling to get into them. They feel like friendlies to
me with a lack of competitive edge. There’s a lot more flow to games though as the refs aren’t giving anywhere near as many free kicks without the influence of the crowd.
